Class never runs scared. It is sure-footed and confident, and it can handle whatever comes along.
Class has a sense of humor. It knows that a good laugh is the best lubricant for oiling the machinery of human relations.
Class never makes excuses. It takes its lumps and learns from mistakes.
Class knows that good manners are nothing more than a series of small sacrifices and minor inconveniences.
Class bespeaks an aristocracy unrelated to ancestors or money. Some extremely wealthy people have no class at all, while others who are struggling to make ends meet are loaded with it.
Class is real. You can’t fake it.
Class is comfortable in its own skin. It never puts on airs.
Class never tries to build itself up by tearing others down.
Class is already up and need not attempt to look better by making others look worse.
Class can walk with kings and keep its virtue and talk with crowds and keep the common touch.Everyone is comfortable with the person who has class because he is comfortable with himself. If you have class, you’ve got it made. If you don’t have class, no matter what else you have, it won’t make up for it.
I have – have you?!
Is it class to say “I have class”?
I’ve always felt that class is something that other people see or sense, and the person who has class is oblivious…4 July, 2012 at 10:06 pm #414330eh?!
4 July, 2012 at 10:10 pm #414331Jen, you oooze of sheer class. And i am being serious . it might even be something the others cannot quite put their fingers on. You are there for people and I have never saw you make others look Low. I think you might be one of the more “classier Ladies” i have ever encountered, be it on here or real life. You are a “quality Chick”. I am more the mouthpeice with impeccable manners ;) This has transferred to my children and grandson.

In simple terms, class isn’t something you see in yourself; if you have class you may well think yourself quite ordinary and unassuming. Class is something that others see in you but when they say it, you are astonished.
Ergo if you say “I have class” you probably don’t.

It’s kind of you to say so Rubes but I’m just a working class girl made good who lives by the motto of treat others as you would wish to be treated yourself.
If everyone lived that way the world would be a far far better place don’t you think?4 July, 2012 at 10:28 pm #414335and that is one of the reasons you “ooze” class jen. You have ” made good” but never forgotten or are ashamed of your roots. You could have been born a scullery maid, or the Lady of the house. No one would know. Take a compliment Woman, I dont give them out easily :)
4 July, 2012 at 10:33 pm #414336Oh jeez, that’s one of the lessons I’ve been told I have to learn, to accept a compliment gracefully…I keep trying but I’m not doing very well, I keep on thinking people have made a mistake and they’re talking about someone else!
Thank you Rubes.
4 July, 2012 at 10:35 pm #414337Agreed. Never be ashamed of your roots even if you are blonde and they’re showing through.
*runs :P
