Sorry to seem pedantic, but the term phile is the opposite of phobe.

A person with a phobia has a unnatural fear of something, whereas a person with a philia has a unnatural love of something. If we use language correctly, a paedophile could NEVER physically harm a child.

Phobos (fear) and phileein (to love) are the roots of those words and they don’t necessarily mean “unnatural” fear or love, otherwise the name “Philip” could be translated as “horse f*cker”.
