the cross referencing was necessitated by the discussion over whether this was a hate thread.
I pointed to the other thread because the first post was made in response to Trapper’s (serious) claim that ISIS terrorists may be among the refugees (though why they should bother when they have much better routes for their killing is beyond me – I am sure some pretty violent people are among the refugees, as they are among the people in the countries they’re travelling to). His claim, which was mixed up with the claim about them all being men (echoed by You) was made in the first thread, which was serious about the issues of refugees. Hence the need to cross-reference.
The posts fed into one another at that point. Your name was mentioned as a by-the-by. That’s all

when I was about 15, I knew one lad who told a joke which he thought was hilarious. How do you stop a n**r from drowning? Take your boot off his head.
I didn’t find it funny, in fact I felt sick. Later, while burrowing in some archive, I discovered it was in an American Nazi Party comic, and I found it less funny.
There’s jokes and jokes. Different sense of humour, I guess.

There is no doubt Scep has a soh as do I …using comparison with 9/11 and 7/7 is a low blow and a bit childish….
There will always be instances where comparisons can be made an argument is valid

There is a big difference between poor humour & reality. As adults should we not be able to recognise that?

Anyway least said soonest mended. :)I don’t see the sense of humour in the first posts one little bit, any more than I see the sense of humour in the vicious anti-black jokes that used to circulate when I was young. Children are used as suicide bombers, and were also recently used to clear minefields (suitably dressed in martyr’s clothes so that they go straight to Paradise).
Black kids were regularly killed in South Africa during the rising against the apartheid regime, and jokes were made about them (they were called floppies in the jokes because of the silly way they flopped around when you shot them)
I know hate jokes when I see them. It’s not a funny topic.
Rain…what I meant was we can go back in history….years later…months later and make comparisons….that picture…that crises is very current…is now
I am not saying 9/11 was less tragic…..I went to New York and the Footprints was one of the first places I visited
