…the White season explores the complex mix of feelings that lead some working class people to say they feel under siege…The working class was once regarded as the “backbone of the nation”, but many now feel that their community is under threat and largely forgotten by the Government.
Then in “White Girl”, the BBC tells a “compelling” drama about an “inspirational” 11-year-old girl, Leah, her family’s relocation to an entirely Muslim community in Bradford and her feeling of isolation, which is heightened at school when she discovers that she and her siblings are the only white children.
But Leah views the Muslim culture and faith with innocent fascination, finding a refuge of calm and safety which is in sharp contrast to the pain and sadness at home.
Bloody liberals, the decent people’s enemy. TELL THE TRUTH, THE WHOLE TRUTH!!
Wrapping up the season with, All White In Barking. Observing relationships and questioning prejudices in a multi-cultural East London community, exploring life in Barking for its residents, both indigenous and immigrant, revealing a multitude of modern attitudes in an increasingly multicultural Britain.
The White season?, no, the BBC false reported season.

7 March, 2008 at 9:02 pm #314876Just about to start on BBC2.
7 March, 2008 at 9:09 pm #3148778 March, 2008 at 11:47 am #314878I watched this, you have to feel for the once prodomently white communities being taken over.
I will be watching all of this series. It’s heartfelt and seen through the eye of most working class people not the narrow minded do gooders of this society.
8 March, 2008 at 2:55 pm #314879i watched last nights episode. i felt heart sorry for the old folk in the club, it reflects the feelings in clubs all across west yorkshire. the ommunity has all but disappeared and been replaced by the me me me people. i live in a fairly close knit village and would hate it to go the way of bradford, but the ever growing muslim area in huddersfield is bound to reach us eventually. the programme to me, shows just how much hatred there is for the muslim invasion. the old folk werent racist, they just hate muslims. not racial just cultural. i cant wait to see the rest of the series.
