I received this in my e-mail today. What do you think of the sentiments it expresses?

I don’t know if the war in Iraq is right or wrong, only God knows that. And I try not to be judgmental about other folks. But I love this lady and what she says and I want everyone to know that. The lady who wrote this letter is Pam Foster of Pamela Foster & Associates in Atlanta. She’s been in business since 1980 doing interior design and home planning. She recently wrote the following letter to a family member serving in Iraq. Check it out!

    WHAT’S ALL THE FUSS?

“Are we fighting a war on terror or aren’t we? Was it or was it not started by Islamic people who brought it to our shores on September 11,2001
Were people from all over the world, mostly Americans, not brutally murdered that day, in downtown Manhattan, across the Potomac from our nation’s capitol and in a field in Pennsylvania? Did nearly three thousand men, women and children die a horrible, burning or crushing death that day, or didn’t they?

And I’m supposed to care that a copy of the Koran was “desecrated” when an overworked American soldier kicked it or got it wet? Well, I don’t. I don’t care at all.

I’ll start caring when Osama bin Laden turns himself in and repents for ncinerating all those innocent people on 9/11.

I’ll care about the Koran when the fanatics in the Middle East start caring about the Holy Bible, the mere possession of which is a crime in Saudi Arabia.

I’ll care when Abu Musab al-Zarqawi tells the world he is sorry for hacking off Nick Berg’s head while Berg screamed through his gurgling, slashed throat.

I’ll care when the cowardly so-called “insurgents” in Iraq come out and fight like men instead of disrespecting their own religion by hiding in mosques.

I’ll care when the mindless zealots who blow themselves up in search of nirvana care about the innocent children within range of their suicide bombs.

When I see a wounded terrorist get shot in the head when he is told not to move because he might be booby-trapped, you can take it to the bank that I don’t care.

When I hear that a prisoner, who was issued a Koran and a prayer mat, and fed “special” food that is paid for by my tax contribution, is complaining that his holy book is being “mishandled,” you can absolutely believe in your heart of hearts that I don’t care.

And oh, by the way, I’ve noticed that sometimes it’s spelled “Koran” and other times “Quran.” Well, Jimmy Crack Corn and —- you got it, I DON’T CARE!

If you agree with this view point, pass this on to all your e-mail friends. Sooner or later, it’ll get to the people responsible for this ridiculous behaviour! If you don’t agree, then by all means hit the delete button. Should you choose the latter, then please don’t complain when more atrocities committed by radical Muslims happen here in our this country. !

“If you can read this, thank a teacher! If you are reading it in English, Thank our Soldier’s.”

you know what pb i read that 3 times…… the first time i thought wtf!!!! second time i could see the sentiments and indeed anger behind it (dont know if she lost someone in 9/11) the third time it seemed a bit like the drunken ‘put the world to rights’ rantings we all do late on a summers evening with friends………… now as far as her views are concerned in some ways i feel it is typical american attitude ‘they are always right’ you only have to go back to IRA days wen america was supplying this particular extremist group with money… and was there outrage in america when the enskillen bombing took place or the bombings in birmingham, london, manchester ??? no there wasnt but let there people be bombed and they are up in arms and the hardest done by country in the world and it is then and only then they seem to want to get involved……. the thing is that upsets me is it is the kids and the innocents that suffer in these wars………

and while im at it about americans do i seem to remember that they are very good at freindly kills when do go to war ….. and i can quote this saying from the second world war. when the british opened fire the germans took cover, when the germans opened fir the british took cover, when the americans opened fire everybody took cover!!!!!

    OK rant over

Old Pammy has missed the point (common mistake) that Iraq wasnt involved in 9/11 at all. It had no connection to that deed or to Al Queda. The US Government has done a pretty good job of brainwashing a percentage of it’s citizens into believing that Iraq was connected. The truth is it wasnt.

Iraq was a very liberal Islamic country. Women could wear western clothes, do high powered jobs, the men weren’t forced to grow beards, music was allowed.

As far as folks say the war is a great recruiting agent for terrorists – I would say not half as much as is the liberal terrorist sympathising attitude that prevails on these boards

You forgot the little fact that they didn’t supply oil to the Americans..

I actually agree with her sentiments and after the London bombing I can sympathise with her more. Live and let live is only good if the other guys doing the same..

As people have already stated, Iraq had a secular government that had no ties to al qaeda. There was no real problem with islamic extremism there until Bush, in his infinite stupidity, decided to start a war there. Pam needs to look at where all the muslim anger towards the usa comes from. Rather than it being down to muslims being jealous of america’s freedom (yes people actually believe that crap), it’s down to US foreign policy.

Pam displays a common (but not universal) american view that everyone should care what happens to americans but americans don’t need to give a damn about anybody else’s suffering. It’s ignorance but understandable when you look at the people running america.

As for the idea that the iraq war doesn’t fuel islamic extremism, all you need to do is ask a muslim if it does.

Anything and everything fuels them Big – any excuse to be a martyr , suicide bomber or whatever – an people like yourselves sympathising with their every move doesn’t help

Why should the non Iraqui muslims care about Iraq – there are so many different factions fighting there – its any excuse to bomb the shyte out of the West

Of course there was infighting there before the invasion – there always has been always will be – they are a tribal race

The one thing that gets me about the endgame though – is these countries will never ever be democratic – they wanted Sadaam overthrown – but now what do they want ??
