Ok I ask the question… How on earth could they begin to contemplate releasing such a monster even if he is ‘cured’. Surely a life sentence should be a life sentence, it’s not as if he even only killed one person, he is a mass murderer. It brings about alot of questions for me like why waste tax payers money on his appeal to be released and what about the families of the women he killed?

    They wont release him

I agree with Pete I doubt very much they will release him but I guess even scum have the right to ask for a release date……….ask doesn’t necessarily mean he will get!

I doubt he’d be released, but in the meantime he has a legal team that the taxpayers are footing the bill for, and he has his face all over the newspapers again

While this argument of no ‘tariff’ having been set continues, should we remember perhaps that wasn’t he given god knows how many ‘life’ sentences for his crimes, and I know life in this country doesn’t actually mean life, unlike in the states, where they mean the rest of your natural life, I was pretty sure it was around 15 years or so, so lets say 20 life sentences were handed down, he’s not even close!! so why it’s even being considered is beyond me personally. Maybe i’m thick tho, maybe theres something iv’e missed

I’m pretty certain it was on the ”Wright Stuff” this morning, that Mathew Wright was saying that when the ‘life’ sentence is handed down it doesnt actually mean the rest of their lives, because that’d be unfair, and inhumane!,,,,,,I wonder what the powers that be who made that decision, would call what he did to those women then!

“He is effectively cured as long as he never stops taking his medication,” the source said.

:-k ,,,,,,isnt that a contradiction in terms :-k

“He would be taken on supervised shopping trips at first and then allowed out on his own and given simple tasks – like buying a train ticket, catching a bus or going to a supermarket.”

haven’t several other supposedly not dangerous, prisoners, absconded in this way

“Peter said the only fly in the ointment was that it was agreed he was at very high risk of being attacked and hurt if people outside recognised he was the Yorkshire Ripper.

Awwww poor soul, course he could always stay within the safety of his padded cell!! i’m sure the general population would have no objections to that!!!

These people are possibly the ones who said the Lockerbie bomber should be released because he only had a few months to live- he appears to be healthy.( but them again we don’t know what or whom he was exchanged for )
Ronnie Biggs – short time to live, he seems to be getting around ok and enjoying going to football matches and having a decent life under the circumstances.

Maybe they should read up on what a sociopath is – because Sutcliffe fits that category 100 %
