I found this poem very moving.
I was at a concert on Friday evening, and there was an exhibition of artwork and poems by current prisoners.
It was the first time that this prisoner had written anything, so there was no punctuation and a wannabe literary critic like me could get very sniffy about the rhythms
but
I found it very moving.
Street with No Name
There is a street with no name where only I live
To move from this place my right arm I’d give
My neighbour’s depression and anxiety live side by side
Caught in the middle, I have nowhere to hide
Opposite lives panic just a stone’s throw away
Shaking and sweating to panic I’ve nothing to say
If I leave by the front door then fear awaits
Panic is above there like wrought iron gates
Surely there’s a back door someone find me the key
It’s nowhere to be found it’s dark I can’t see
Please let me leave my neighbours aren’t kind
But there’s nothing I can do it’s all in my mind
So who do I battle when the enemy is me
Break down the walls and set myself free
So how do I leave the street with no name
Before I open the door the fear I must tame
Where was this too just out of intrest skep?
Not saying you would make this up yourself about brexit.
But could you just confirm where it was on friday night.

Well if this artist is all legit mooose i gurantee we can check his exhibtion details online.

If hes a odc ordinary decent criminal he will have no issue in using his name.

Why are you calling me dishonest ? You barely know me I barely know you I don’t think we’ve ever had a conversation
where did I say Scep is a nice guy ? I thought he was when we were friends or I’d not of been his friend obviously , but there will be no building bridges, it also doesn’t mean I go in to attack mode at the site of his name, which I feel is what you want !!
maybe I am being naïve but I was asking you a simple question. I don’t understand your reaction to the poem. Maybe I’m not ‘ deep’ enough to ‘ get it ‘ ? I don’t know. I was asking why it was about Brexit and why you think he is lying ? He may be lying, I have no idea, I didn’t read the poem like that at all but maybe that’s because I’m too stupid !

Well the point in lying about that would be to discredit us and make us look bad , as if we supported child pornography, a very nasty thing to do !
I still don’t see what anyone would gain by lying about who wrote a poem ?
