firstly fair point cas i agree , 2nd its not resenting poles its resentment of the fact they are bein exploited and 3 rd as ive said its all about equality , british workers neednt apply was the first issue just after xmas and give them the same pay and conditions as what we get not half, and pete i really dnt think they would stand for it in other countries , bringing kids up next to nuclear sites and the jobs there going to migrants whos kids are back home , exhaust local labour first, i still think until it hits ur own industries as it has mine ull fail to agree , oh and can i just add , it hasnt happened where i work yet , but we have still walked out in sympathy for brothers in lyndsay etc

As for minimum wage.. if it wasnt set it’d be lower

That’s what some people will have you believe but where I work they’re queuing up next to the the clocking out machine ten minutes before the end of shift.
Does anybody here rate them as hard workers? My experience tells me different but I’m only making my judgement based on the 15 or so that I work with. :roll:I agree. Poles are very important to British society, and indeed for our economy. Without Poles our houses would be flat, our lamp posts would be ground-level and we’d have no railings to hold onto when slipping down the stairs !!
Who’d ever visit a nation without any Poles?
Not only that.. strip clubs up and down the British isles would go out of business as the strippers wouldn’t have anything to dance around!
Hoorah for Poles.

not sure i agree pete
i think the minimum wage sinario has kept wages down companys just shrug and say we pay minimum wage take it or leave it and then exploit migrant workers who have little or no choice
lets be honest who can live a decent life on minimum wage31 August, 2009 at 9:27 am #410647So the minimum wage was brought in for what ? So companies had to pay a certain amount which was higher than they were paying or why bother

Imagine .. Poland has a revolution a massive growth.. wages are £800 a week minimum.. if you want you can go there and get yourself a job.. now wheres my passport.
Dont resent the Poles it’s all legal and you’d bugger off over there at the drop of a hat if the conditions were reversedBut they haven’t had a massive growth and wages aren’t £800 per week. If they were do you really think we’d be welcome to look for jobs over there? I think not.
I don’t see the point in employing Poles to do unskilled jobs in this country. I’d rather see unemployed Brits do it with their benefits being taken away if they refuse. Now that really would benefit the economy in this country. :wink:31 August, 2009 at 10:32 am #410649Fine just stop blaming the poles

I don’t take orders. This message board should be a place for debate but you obviously don’t agree with that.
31 August, 2009 at 10:44 am #410651I wasn’t ordering you, and i do agree with debate. But everyones debate is the bastards are taking our jobs lets hate them.
The government allow it and if the roles were reversed we’d do it, were being hypocritical and blaming the wrong people31 August, 2009 at 10:51 am #410652@pete wrote:

I don’t hate Poles. My argument has nothing to do with hatred. But obviously your way of winning a debate is to make remarks and assumptions about the people who are debating.
Everyone is entitled to an opinion however much you resent it. -
