point taken.. its a mystery and a half innit ? i have a friend who lives close to the family, she isists that the mum knew nothing and is heartbroken. i feel realy sorryfor her if this is the ase. not only did she think her daughter was dead or wih a pervert. she could now lose all of her children t over zealous social workers. id be happyto give any of those kids a home. lets face it they deserve a break.

Normally I might accept your comment about “over zealous social workers” …. but definitely not in this case.

If anything the social workers have been under zealous. Clearly this woman was allowed to breed uncontrolled – at the very least the social workers etc could have not only given her contraceptive advice, but ensured that she put it into practice.

I think the real problem with this case is that no one seems to care.

The police and social works have been doing the bare min.

I can unstand it, this family is part of the social under class, they will always have problems, always need help.

I think its more a case of social workers losing intrest in them and others.

This case has now cost just over 2 millon to investgate, and you get the feeling they wish they never bover with it.

When you think about it, the family will need a new house, new name and years of support, costing more.

I do feel for those working on this case, the social services are busy trying to cover their own a sses, the police are trying to keep the cost down.

But after working on police and local gov contracts for years, I feel no one really cares, its only a job for most of them, there own careers come first, the people who they should be caring about come second.

its a bit late for that isnt it? Look at how much money and resources were put into trying to find her, when all the time an uncle and family members who lived next door knew exactly where she was. The two women have been released, which must mean that they havent got enough evidence to press charges. At the very least they should be done for wasting police time.

They have been released on Police bail i.e. they have to report back to the Police station at a later date. This is a whole lot cheaper than detaining them in custody ans allows the police to continue their investigations before charging anybody.

Releasing them in this manner does NOT mean that they won’t subsequently be charged.

One of the first things the police did was investigate the house next door. God all that money and resources used and no doubt other crimes in the area were not investigated fully meanwhile, if at all. Because, quite possibly, some very greedy people who cannot string a sentence together tried to mastermind a stupid and massive deception.

That poor kid must have been making value judgements constantly as to who she could and could not trust in that extended family. If this pans out the way I think it will then I hope they throw the bloody book at those responsible.

of course they can shazza.. theyre on dss benefits and they claim extra benefit for their kid with a.d.h.d the dla will pay for the fags and the white lightening cider, the rent is paid by you and me. they pay no council tax. and they recieve almost £300.00 per week in benefits to feed and clothe them and their baby chavs. [my opinion of this family has turned full circle and i fully apologise for any comments i made in their defence. it turns out now that the mother has been arrested. my god. they should lock the bleddy lot of em up and throw away the key. fekin bottom feeding scumbags. they make shameless lot look posh.
