a few teams impressed me, Newcastle did but its about time they did!
Man utd chelsea and ar senal will be fine and we all know this
liverpool? last minute free kick for an extreme foul…..a goals a goal at the end of the day torres didnt impress me to be honest but im a blue so..in my opinion il judge torres at the end of the season if he hasnt scored a LEAGUE goal for every million he was bought for then he should be deemed a failure
But Mikel Arteta!!! what a game!

i thought torres was poor too.. lacked physical presents and was easily scuffled out at any chance… the only good chance he made for himself, he finished poorly
Everton look a good solid side, with cahill still to come back into that midfield, i say Evertons midfield is stronger then liverpools at full strengh, they just lack a squad depth, and there young strikers vaughen and that lad who i can’t spell his name… they look a handfull, as well as AJ
baines still to slot in the solid back line too, and a decent keeper.. if they all stay fit.. they could even challenge for a top 4 slot again.. who knows..
time will tell

Matty, I think you will find Liverpools free kick was in the 85th minute, not the last minute, or even the 95th (fergie time) minute.
And you say Evertons midfield is stronger than Liverpools? FFS man! Think about what you have posted, cos its all dribble mate, and you know it! :evil:14 August, 2007 at 6:55 pm #282670@fastcars wrote:

Im happy. I thought Man u were going to get their usual 100th minute late goal and grab the three points, but all credit to Reading and their goalkeeper.
Im not even going to talk about our goal keeper

I don’t feel I am talking Dribble.. I feel that Everton have possibly the best midfield partnership in the league with arteta and cahill, Carsley, Osman, De Silva (maybe Fernandos ) are not too bad eiather , just because they don’t play for the bigger team on mersyside, does’nt mean they can’t be as good as those who play on the red side of the city

yeah, looks like last season for them.. promised lots.. then faulted at the start, picked it up later on, but dropping 6 points already, also to Everton, a team they could find themself fighting for come the end of the season for 4th place, impressed me twice Everton now, solid team, great result for them

Everton were great tonight, solid. A very improved squad and a pleasure to watch them tear the ar/se out the yids. They could have had at least another two goals too!
14 August, 2007 at 9:39 pm #282675they got vaughen to come back into the team too.. and they are about to add fernandos too, keep free from injurys… though europe could be a massive destraction for a small squad… lets see what happens
so glad its football season again… though international friendlys are gonna get in the way again soon :(
