Yeah, feck the customer eh? If they don’t like it they can go find another site! Is JC so flush with good regs all of a sudden that it can afford to drive them away?
I think it is a pity that people are complaining about the colour scheme rather than coo-ing about the new features and I am sure we all appreciate the efforts put in by you and Martin in particular but the fact is the glare is excessive and it HURTS a lot of people’s eyes. I have to turn my colour and contrast down to the lowest setting, thus affecting the appearance of any other websites I want to look at (which is a fecking pain)! And if I wear my sunglasses in the house I often bang my shins on small tables or walk into walls..
The thing is, are we REALLY stuck with this colour-scheme? If you explain WHY this is the case, it might make people accept it a bit easier and go splash out on screen filters or a pair of raybans rather than fecking off to some other site.

Well now James – you have had a bit of a rant eh? I don’t think we are trying to drive our users away, as you so delicately put it. All that has happened is the site has had a major makeover. Users have been whingeing about the previous colour scheme for ages. Now you have a new one to whinge about OK?

If you mean by ”are we REALLY stuck with it” will it be changed again in the forseeable future – then the short answer is NO. It has taken many many months of work to redesign the entire site and I think it highly unlikely that the colour schemes will be changed again. So break out the sunglasses, fit screen anti glare filters……………….and remember – we care !!!
Orange is a very controversial colour in Northern Ireland so i’m keeping out of it. :lol:

True – but then I guess no matter what colour was chosen, some person or group somewhere would find it controversial or offensive or whatever. Ye Gods, it’s only a colour on a PC screen ffs.

Mrs PB had a chat with cousin Franco yesterday evening and mentioned the problems we were having with incessant whingeing. He said (in Italian of course) “You don’t wanna have problems inna your life, leave it with me an I’ll take care of them for you.”

Well I have to say, when I first logged on and saw the colour scheme I thought “wow, orange”!! (did Martin have to many tequilas the night before? I wondered) :wink: :wink: :wink: :wink: . But hey, I,m used to it, I think it,s great. Even makes forum 1 look tranquil lol. As PB so eloquently put it,(as only he can :wink: ) it,s only colours on a pc screen ffs, stop bloody whinging and get a life. :roll: :roll:
Surely I am entitled to a ‘rant’ every now and then? :wink: I HATE the new colour scheme (for all the reasons mentioned) but I will accept that there would be “many months of work involved” to change it. I do believe that, for its next major revamp, JC will take into account the fact that regs opinions should count. Boo Hiss to the very few @rselickers that crawled to the management and pretended they like the changes! :evil: :evil:
