You got it jen…. you are sooo good at this stuff, analytical mind maybe…. anyway your turn to set a riddle :D
Answer: He was born in 2000 b. c.
27 April, 2012 at 5:16 pm #494490Analytical mind and also a skill from the days when I worked in the corporate world and my team used to take it turns to set a riddle of the day. :D
OK here’s my riddle:
Acting on an anonymous tip off , the police raid a house to arrest a suspected murderer. They don’t know what he looks like but they know his name is David and that he is inside the house. The police bust in on a carpenter, a lorry driver, a mechanic and a fireman all playing poker. Without hesitation or communication of any kind, they immediately arrest the fireman. How do they know they’ve got their man?
27 April, 2012 at 5:23 pm #494491Well im useless at this stuff so I read it out to my husband who without hesitation said they were all dead except the fireman. Was he right?

And my guess is that people such as yourself who think quicky about numbers are not good at recognising how dumb the rest of us are lol
Oh that made me laugh!
To the contrary Mr SG, I have dyscalculia, the number equivalent of dyslexia, and numbers are often a blank spot for me as my accountant has quickly realised! I have to really think about a poser like that, as I did the first time I read it around 5 years ago. What I lack in numerical ability I had to make up for by applying logic and where that failed, just sheer gut instinct.
Thank God im not the only one. I cant even write phone number down properly!

It’s not as common as dyslexia but there’s lots of us around eve…I always repeat phone numbers back to people to make sure I’ve got it right, doesn’t stop me misdialling the number though! I wish I’d known about it when I was at school, my maths teacher made my life hell…it was only a few years ago reading an article about dyscalculia that suddenly it all made sense and I thought “that’s me!”
