BM … I really don’t know, I wish I did. There might be a perfectly valid explanation, totally unconnected with the parents, as to how her blood got into the car AFTER she was allegedly abducted.
I suspect that finding blood and PROVING that a specific person put it there is giving the police some considerable difficulty.

Pb, you know as well as I do, if they had the “goods” on them theyd be sittting eating Portugese Porridge.
Since they aint eating Portugese Porridge maybe this conclusive evidence isnt as conclusive as you would have us believe. They’re on their way home as we speak, and I dont blame them, getting out of that country.
If the evidence was there, it would have been used.9 September, 2007 at 11:49 am #286242Has it actually been said that the blood in the car was that of Maddies? :?
9 September, 2007 at 11:50 am #286243Yes I think that you’re right. The ”evidence” isn’t conclusive or they would have been charged by now.
However, now that they have been formally declared ‘suspects’ they can be questioned in a far more focused way than when they were simply ‘witnesses’.
I shall be most interested to see if they actually return to Portugal for this questioning process to take place, or if they attempt to stay in the UK and avoid it.
What’s the betting that the next Press release theme centres on how they want to put the entire thing behind them and just get on with their lives – as a reason for not returning???
Remember – you read it here first !!!!!
9 September, 2007 at 11:53 am #286244fook me !!! id rather beleive the Daily Sport than the Mail on Sunday! …
i re-iterate….
death, by tory press reading harridans, with fook all better to do than to imagine themselves above the law,,in a somewhat sanctimonious nature.

As far as I know being declared thingy is only so the Police could question them more?
Youre truely a visionary PB. You even know what these people will do a few months down the line!. Bravo I say. Bravo. =D>
But wheres the evidence I hear you ask. Good Question.
9 September, 2007 at 12:02 pm #286246What amuses me are the hoards of press waiting for them at East Midlands airport. They know the Mccans are prohibited from talking about the case now that they are suspects, so what do they hope to gain from being there? How many more pictures of the parents do they need?? :?

Lynching by Media – maybe….. but don’t forget that for the first several weeks the same Media were actively encouraging, supporting, and reporting on the world-wide phenomenon that was the McCann’s campaign and search for their missing (believed abducted) daughter.
But this ”missing” time also opens up a number of possibilities. It has always been said by the McCann defenders that they couldn’t possibly have done anything because they were under the Media spotlight 24/7. But this only happened over time – NOT right at the start.
The exact timeline has always been a closely guarded secret by the Police. From the original statement that they visited the children every 30 minutes – which we now know to be totally untrue – we learn that they last visited at 9.00pm when apparently Maddies was said to be OK and then at 10.05pm when they allegedly first noticed her missing.
The Police were not initially contacted until 11.07pm that night. Mrs PB doesn’t share my view on this matter, but even she has conceded that under the same circumstances her FIRST reaction would be to scream for the police long and hard.
Sorry McCann defenders – but i am well and truly on the record here as saying that I think they were in some active way involved with all this and I have seen no reason at all to change my opinion – far from it.
this is what Mrs McCann told the police happened.9 September, 2007 at 1:54 pm #286248The Facts According to PB

The Facts As They Are Known
Madeleine McCann went missing from her family’s holiday apartment at the Ocean Club, in Praia da Luz, on 3 May.
She was holidaying with her parents and her younger twin siblings.
Mrs McCann is understood to have told police that after tucking the children up in bed Madeleine – who was wearing pink pyjamas with the words “Sleepy Eeyore” on them – said: “Mummy, I’ve had the best day ever. I’m having lots and lots of fun.”
It is known Mr and Mrs McCann then went for dinner with a group of friends, at a tapas restaurant just 100 yards from the apartment.
Their party included friends and fellow holiday-makers Dr Matthew Oldfield, Rachael Oldfield, Dr Russell O’Brien, and Dr Fiona Payne.
Leaks from the investigation suggest the McCanns arrived for dinner at 2040 local time that evening, according to their friends.
At 2105 Mr McCann went to check on the children, followed by Dr Oldfield at 2130, they said.
Mrs McCann told police that when she went to the apartment at 2200 she found the outside shutter and window to Madeleine’s room had been opened and her daughter was missing.
Mrs McCann said police were called within 10 minutes of finding her daughter gone. Guilhermino Encarnacao, director of the judicial police in the Faro region, said officers arrived within 10 minutes of being alerted, and an investigation unit began work within 30 minutes
The manager of the Mark Warner resort in Portugal, John Hill, said about 60 staff and guests at the complex searched until daybreak for the little girl, while police notified border police, Spanish police and airports.
They were joined in their hunt by hundreds of volunteers in the following days.
Now do I believe PB or do I believe the “actual” facts… :-k
Sod it….. its Sunday…. lets go along with PB’s version of events just for some fun shall we.
