Clock cant be turned back. Everythings great in hindsight.

Lots of people would have breathed a sigh of relief that this happened to the McCann’s and not them, because I’m sure quite a few people have done the same thing they did.

I would think that would be a small minority, if atall.

As Bat said (and I dont always agree with her stance on this), if you think children are an “inconvenience” dont have them, or have an adult based holiday (which it seems they were anyway… didnt look much of a family orientated resort) and leave the children at home with family.

We go on Family based holidays. When we can afford to get away, and I have someone I can trust to look after my zoo, the holiday is for ALL of us to enjoy.

If I wanted a holiday for just me n dave I would ask my family to have the children, but we have never even given that a thought, they need holidays just as much as us.

These upper crust classes think they can have their career and kids and posh lifestyle all rolled up in one, pop the kids out to show them off to their posh friends and say “look at us, we are professionals and have managed to have these children too, arent we great, arent we what everybody wants to be” when it suits them, then hide them away when they become an inconvenience, but it doesnt work like that.

Shame they have had to learn in such shocking circumstances.

Dont kid yourself that it was a small minority or not at all.

And as for the crying thing, is it child neglect to let a child cry ? dont we do that with babies at the advice of professionals ?

This may be true …. but what we DON’T do is to leave babies / young children alone in a flat / house (crying or not) without an adult being present to safeguard them !!!

The crying comment was in response to someone saying letting a child cry is neglect.
I wasn’t condoning what they did far from it, i would not feel comfortable doing what they did with hotel “listening” facilities or not, and yes they shouldn’t have left them i quite agree, all i am saying is they are one of many that have done just that on these places that offer these child care services.
But yes they are fully responsible for making such decisions and yes it is their fault the kidnapper was able to take Maddie, but as i said hindsight is a wonderful thing and im sure many before the MCcanns have done the self same thing, if one good thing comes out of this hopefully people will think twice before using these facilities and won’t leave their kids alone as it should be.

And let us not forget that they did NOT use the provided services offered by the hotel.

Well its nice to see all the “perfect parents” having a go again……………..

I am sure that if there were cam’s in every room of your home and people watching you, recording your every movement and that of your kids, most of you would end up in court for something.

I see people all the time breaking the law’s, I see people in there homes talking on there phones when the kids in the room, using drugs or spending more time on there friends than their kids.

After all people do have there own lifes.

So may be one of you web house wifes can tell me who is looking after your kids when your on here?

Or do you all just pop them in front of the tv and leave them to it?

There’s a serious flaw in your argument doa.

    Your IQ.

I dont claim to be a perfect parent DOA, its a bloody hard job.

But I do have common sense and LOVE my children. I certainly would not take them on holiday and shove them in a room to sleep alone whilst I got pi$$ed with my mates.

Nor would I pretend they had been abducted to cash in on some begging fund no matter how skint I was.

I never had the net when mine were toddlers, so that is not really an issue.

It takes a few seconds to read most posts on here, hardly means your here all day lol.

Get back to your chat room and “pretend” to be whatever it is you do Mr Perfect DOA
