pml u nutter … what u done to ur eye tho ?
5 June, 2008 at 11:03 pm #340008Nowt atall, but I only wear my glasses at work so I leave them there, we have the most prehistoric computer system that ever existed (when we get a new one Im gonna take it on Flog It!), but late at night the one eye that I need the prescription for gets weak, so I tend to shut it to read small type.
I couldnt make the first picture out at first so I moved in for a closer look and then without realising it Id shut my weak eye and was actually out of my seat with my face barely a few inches from the screen!
Honestly if any of my family were awake and could have seen me it would have been a picture!
5 June, 2008 at 11:58 pm #340009Referring to the utterly cruel pictures posted above – I can only say that I am appalled at the thought of poor little Gwenny getting shagged in her moment of adversity ….. going out with a bang as it were.
For the few remaining Gwenny watchers – she has totally failed to make an appearance over the last several days. The mouse traps remain empty and unused….. the delicious organic crunchy peanut butter remains unscoffed.
I can only make two deductions from this:
a) Mice can actually understand English when they hear it – and Gwenny must have overheard Senior Management’s instructions to me to do her some permanent harm … or:
b) Mice have a hitherto unrecorded ability to read – and Gwenny must have read and understood daughter’s notices warning her of the dangers of scoffing the ”house special”.
Nevertheless, and to my great and continuing amusement, Senior Management still knocks on the kitchen door before entering …. just in case !!!!!
BTW – I got a most severe bollocking a couple of days ago. All I did was to innocently enquire “Did you see that?” to Mrs PB, whilst sitting comfortably in the sitting room.
“What?” she replied somewhat testily. “Oh, nothing dear” I said, “but I thought I saw something move over there by the dining room table.”
She promptly went mad, screamed like a banshee, leapt up onto the sofa and demanded that I “get that fucking mouse out of here RIGHT NOW !!!!!”
OK, I know I shouldn’t have collapsed laughing …. but honestly, I just couldn’t help it.
Maybe I will put some fresh peanut butter out tomorrow.

Great idea … unless she returns to say hello in her own inimitable style. Then I would be deep in the ****!!! Not only failing to complete a task set for me, but trying to cover up my ”typical incompetence’ with some unbelievable story. No, sorry that is a high risk strategy.
The safest option is to suggest that Gwenny has gone to the country to visit relatives or something and I’ll definitely sort her out when she returns.

6 June, 2008 at 12:13 am #340015Think yourselves lucky she is only scared of alive mice. My other half has a phobia of anything dead with fur or feathers… wierd!
He gets our youngest to pick up the dead mice or he wont go in the garden.
