actually Ruby… I decided they changed the quality and design of our childhood toys…. hula hoops dont stay up anymore … thats strange….. and space hopper as you pointed out dont bounce….. not to mention boomerangs not coming back… tuts

it IS true mrs.T..I have a spacehopper in my back garden, bought 2 years ago from a retro toy site.I had been bragging that i was th spacehopper champion of 1972.. they used to be made of a really thick,almost rubberised fabric,, this is sheer looking and more like a balloon. and the ears are limp ! and i cannot get it to bounce for me at all.
I agree with the hula hoops too, and dont get me started on joinng elastic bands together and high jumping over them..after a foot in height the bands make it too hard for me to get over them. AND i need them to be at least 6 foot to limbo under them.. its an outrage. kids today dont know their born…..nobody had the last word yet??
