at one point in my life, people seemd incredibly big, and I had to stand on a chair to lok over the windowsill. I so enjoyed riding on my dad’s shoulders coz I could see the world.

Then I just kinda grew bigtime and became the centre of the world.

    Then I guess I realised I wasn’t.

now my last post did remind me of a memory of what you could get away wth when very small.

When I was 3 or 4, some carnival came to town on a hot summer day, and so many people turned up to see it that I was blocked out – (a guid at work?). But some kind guy in the front put me on his shoulders so that I could have a grand view. I was given an egg or something to throw at a drum wiht a big clown’s face (can’t remember whether it had Joker written around it).

Then I was hurriedly lifted off the man’s shoulder as I’d peed down his neck, ruining his white shirt.

I guess at some point I’ll be returning to those days, but not carried on anyone’s shoulders. Apparently when incontinence strikes, that’s when you start wanting to be dead.

Though given the way that middle-aged ladies walk to the public loo – calmly and purposefully, a smile on their face, then suddenly a brisk trot – it strikes some earlier than others.
