Thought we had mice and spiders?
Oh the mousetraps weren’t for mice…and I never kill spiders! :shock:

There is no need for them, Flies have other preditors so lets kill the little ba**ards
Noooooooo I don’t kill spiders and I don’t put them outside either…I have horse chestnuts in the corners of the room and those that still come in are dealt with by my cat, she seems to think they’re toys… :D
Don’t think I have any other “fly predators” in my house…well, other than the cat but she prefers the spiders and mice.
really so that chestnut thing works or kinda does??
If spiders still get in your house how do you know if it works?
Do you have a real fire as in the spiders could be getting in by coming down the chinmey?
It seems to be one of those old wives tales that really does work…apparently scientists have started to investigate but it’s thought that chestnuts give off a chemical that the spiders don’t like. We used to have huuuuuuuuge spiders in the autumn, loads of them, but last autumn we didn’t have a single one. Very occasionally one braves it and is swiftly seen to by the cat.
We do have a fire but when they did come in it was usually through the air bricks or the patio doors.
My cat completely ignores spiders…. so funny though as Im typing this I have a duck outside tapping at the window…. my cat is scared to death of ducks she is a bit of a wimp… gorgeous though :D

My cat has a twin that has started to come into our garden…it’s fooled me a few times when I’ve come home, looks just like her but does a runner when I say hello to it…my cat can’t decide whether to make friends, have a go or run away, she seems most confused! :lol:
Opens all the windows…. chases he twin cat and the ducks away…. hello Mr Sunshine :D
