“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”
US boy, 11, held for shooting dead eight-year-old neighbour
An 11-year-old boy in the US state of Tennessee has been held on suspicion of shooting dead an eight-year-old girl in a row over a puppy.
The boy has been charged with first-degree murder as a juvenile.
According to police, he shot neighbour McKayla Dyer on Saturday evening after she refused to let him see her puppy.
Her mother Latasha said that the two children went to the same school in White Pine, about 200 miles (315km) east of Nashville.
She said the family had had trouble with the boy when they first moved to the area.
“He was making fun of her, calling her names, just being mean to her. I had to go to the principal about him and he quit for a while and then all of a sudden yesterday he shot her,” Ms Dyer told WATE-TV.
“She was a precious little girl. She was mommy’s girl. No matter how bad of a mood you were in, she could always make you smile.”
“I want her back in my arms,” she said.

6 October, 2015 at 3:55 pm #529180It’s bliddy awful but in a country that permits its citizens to bare arms it makes it easy for the nutters that pull the trigger causing devastation & mass loss of innocent lives.
Its got to be asked though … What the hell was an 11 yr old doing with a gun !!
Nearly 600 kids have lost their lives already this year ! That is a horrendous statistic.
Thank god the UK has stricter gun laws eh ?
6 October, 2015 at 4:57 pm #529181As said before its there right to bare arms. What they need is a law on guns to be stored in a gun safe and not in a draw in the bedroom like some sex toy. Im pro gun had them for years but handed back my license a few years ago. Which brings me back to those who carry knifes in the uk.

You keep sex toys in a drawer in the bedroom ? :lol:Seriously though … you have a point about guns safes but that’s too sensible for those across the pond.
As for knives well that’s a whole different ball game but no less of an issue.

6 October, 2015 at 6:16 pm #529184Trapper.How would you feel if someone from a diff county posted we shouldn’t have free speech? As its the same thing as you are doing.
6 October, 2015 at 7:32 pm #529185Speech never killed anyone at least not directly.. no one has the RIGHT to shoot someone else.. I’d sooner someone spoke to my child than shot him/her. If they didnt have the guns so what ?
