cant find any posts about this so sorry if its already been covered
has anyone here been affected by this?
i live near a major airport and i gotta say its been lovely to not have planes in the sky for a few days but my hubby has lost half his team, one is stuck in dubai, one is stuck in cairo and one is stuck in india. being stuck there is bad enough but he says 2 of them have been told it might be 2 or 3 weeks before they can get a flight back. thats from when planes start flying again not from now.
they say its not a danger to health but our garden furniture is covered in a fine dust. i have respiratory problems and i am suffering and i dont think it is down to pollen im not usually as bad as this even when pollen is at its worst.
heard someone say on the news that the government should do something about it which made me laugh. not sure what they expect them to do about it lol
still they are sending in the navy so at least those stuck on mainland europe can get back soon.

19 April, 2010 at 1:32 pm #438024Plenty of dust here and Friday heralded a rather attractive sulphur smell that wormed its way into every inch of the house…..the smell’s gone but the dust continues.
I do wonder how many businesses will go under from this, the knock on effect is huge.
