That’s my second transgression.
I’d hate to be slung out by my ears by our Sergeant-at-Arms, whoever that might be (word on the street is Panda is fairly decent in a bout of fistycuffs). And so shortly after having taken my pledge of allegiance, too.
Nuff said, founding member peps. Butch, bold, bulky, blocky text for here on in.

ah.. I see Brother Rusty has obliged.
I shall gather and surmise presently.Just a little word on the Bold Black Font oh my brothers.
Try not to let the side down huh chaps?I know nobody wishes to unleash Grand Inquisitor Telquemada on his first crusade at this early stage.. But if such textual deviance continues then I shall have no choice but to bring the matter to the The Council Of The Brethren’s attention.
Oh and that extra “the” is not a typo btw .. It’s called “the The Council Of The Brethren” coz it’s very important.

Praise be Brother Rusty.

Leave one end really long, tie it like a tie to stabilise it then put an extra fold over the top for bulk and colour. Cheating really, but it gets you to the luncheon on time.23 November, 2012 at 12:35 am #515778As far as hats go, I do believe that height and head size are an issue, My taller comrade carries off all sorts of hats: bowlers, trilbies, with the occasional pork pie or boater if he’s feeling rather jolly.
Being of more average height and having a rather large head size (recorded by my revered mother on one document as ‘ridiculously large’), I am restricted to the fedora, although I am grateful to have been spared the excesses of a Homburg or Gatsby.
I have been informed by several ladies of my acquaintance that the Fedora strikes just the right jazz-esque pose to impress even on less formal occasions. On a practical note, its wider brim is useful in keeping rainwater off one’s spectacles.
Do any of you fellows have a stylistic or practical preference for classic headwear?
I have managed to avoid games played using the personal computer, but I would like to recommend a beret for action scenes (unless your lack of skill results in many shots to your head), with a slouch for scenarios in sunnier climes, and of course, a peaked cap for ceremonial occasions. (being a francophile, I hanker after a kepi, but with my hat size, it would look out of proportion.).
23 November, 2012 at 9:04 am #515779I actually do wear a fedora, and don’t understand the rejection of hats by most men,
but
I am working on this cravat business as a new kind of hat.
I’ve long envied the burqua, and feel they could be the stylish expression of all chic women in the future…I’m trying to work out how the cravat could be the burqua for men…
Remember you first heard it here, in Sgt Pepperpot’s Gents[/i]
