Inspired by an exchange on the Lord Coke thread last night.
“oh, the days”, said Mrs O’Grady.
“Yes, indeed, the days, the days” replied Mrs Tilly.
“they weren’t the same, the fellers those days. They were exciting and fun to be with”, said Mrs O’Grady, the knitting needles clacking and echoing around the room.
“yes, indeed, Mrs O’Grady”, replied Mrs Tilly, the keyboard clacking and echoing around the room. “And the sun shone on cyberland, so warm all the time. Not like today. The fellers as of today, they’re interested n one thing only, one thing only”.
“Indeed, indeed, one thing only” typed Mrs O’Grady. “Not like in our day, Mrs Tilly, remember Joe Finnegan, the way he came round the corner with his zip not done up yet and his oobjadoo hanging out for us all to see, my God ho ho, and his cap all of a which-ways”
“Oh, I do, I do, Mrs O’Grady. And little Lizzie Arbuckle, remember her? Glory be! When we was all running to get to see Gone With The Wind, when it opened at the Roxy, you remember, so excited we were , and running running, and Little Lizzie’s knickers broke and she was clutchin’ them. Me Knickers, she cried, me knickers, they’ve gone with the wind. and oh how we laughed, how we laughed, and when Joyce of Norwich peed her knickers from laughing, we all fell around the floor, we did, legs kicking up in a conga of fun”.
“oh, we did, we did, Mrs Tilly. oh, the days, the days. And remember that thin bloke who used to tease you, Mrs Tilly. Oh it went on for day after day, year after year, and you would get so angry, Mrs Tilly, so angry, and the more angry you got, the more he teased you. Oh, how we all laughed and laughed. The days, the days.”
“don’t you mention that little shyte to me, Mrs’ O’Hara, or we shall have a fall out!!”
“Oh, sorry, Mrs Tilly. We all were angry with you about the little bleeder, we really were. The dirty scoundrel!”
“indeed, indeed, Mrs O’Hara, I would happily rip that shyte’s insides out and feed them to the rats!”
“indeed, indeed, Mrs Tilly. but think of the days, Mrs Tilly, think of the days. Not like now, when all the fellers has no fun in them, would never dream of lying on the floor laughing with their legs kicking up in the air like a conga”.
“Indeed, indeed, Mrs O’Hara. Oh, the days”, and they both settled back for a while in their chairs, their fingers at rest for a moment, as a warm feeling of memory and gladness filled the abstract and very strange world of cyberland.

My goodness you really are a miserable little shyte aren’t you.
1 August, 2015 at 7:03 am #527276Haha Scep….hilarious
Its funnier when based on “true events” and turned into fiction….you know…like Coathanger does
Unless its about certain chatters maybe? …then it might not be so funny….the one rule for them and the other rule for you…..remember that next time you dare post
Oh…no joking allowed…especially about underwear
dog…bone….1 August, 2015 at 7:21 am #527277Of course, we could always reminisce about the time when the Princess of paper was married , and had an affair with the Thin man …and pretended she was innocent of all wrong doing- and slagging anyone else off who was being unfaithful ..until her husband found out …..
Now THAT was hilarious !
Ahh yes …. so much better when it is based on truth , and turned into fiction.
Keep going Kenty….

“Indeed, indeed, Mrs Tilly. The fellers these, days, you know…”
“Shut your gob, you miserable little shyte”, answered Mrs Tilly. “Who d’ya think you’re talking to, some psychotic f*cking nut, or what? You miserable little man, no woman in this room would touch you even with mine.”
“he’s sixty fookin four” came a voice from far away.
“I’m sorry, Mrs Tilly” answered the miserable little shyte, “I’m really, really sorry.”
“You’ll be sorry before I’m through!!” answered the gentle Mrs Tilly.. “My God, the days were different then. The candlelight shining in the room, the laughter in everyone’s voices, the dancing and the shine in their eyes. Not like now, not like the shytes they let in these days” answered the lovely Mrs Tilly, revenge simmering in her gentle heart.

1 August, 2015 at 8:52 am #527280and a strange, uneasy calm settled on the odd world of cyberland as it waited for the buxom Mrs O’Grady to get out of bed and sort her curlers.
1 August, 2015 at 1:44 pm #527281Ah but Mrs O’Grady couldn’t sort out her curlers for laughing, nicely done sir
