The person concerned needs to find something that motivates them Cosy… additionally maybe they need a course of multi vitamins.. and some daily exercise… I know its easy to say and if someone is down in the dumps its much harder to do….. but exercise does work for me anyway… hope that helps :D

I have always been a great believer in letting youngsters/students…..rest as much as they need ……they are growing all the time..developing and learning….it’s tiring…remember back to when we were at school…
My mum was fantastic..she used to let us lie in till midday at weekends while we were still at school…never shouted at us to wake up….when lots of my friends moaned they had to be up early and do chores…..we did chores…plenty of them…just when we had a rest and got up….I was/am the same with my kids…
You can tell the difference between lazy and someone needing rest most of the time….go with the flow

I feel too strongly about this thread – put it this way, when my two texted their dad’s, saying they weren’t coming home at 1am on New Year’s Eve – of which they had been asked to, to say if they were or weren’t – it woke my ex’s missus up, and then they weren’t allowed in ‘their’ house for 4yrs – Helloooooooooooooo, my thoughts are that they feckin’ bliddy text – I probably wouldn’t have done at their age!!!! Gawd, yeah, let them sleep in ffs. They appreciate it, and make up for it without being asked. I am sorry, but if you treat a teenager with respect they reciprocate! The End! 8)
