Ok quickest review ever on Martina Cole Ladykiller
George Markham married quiet man abused as a child by his mother and her many man friends, got off on rape murder and buggary, and earned the name of the Grantley Ripper, besides murdering his wife and a young child and other women he killed a known “gangsters daughter” in this way, and between him the girls father and the acting female DI (who became romantically involved with the gangster)on the case he was hunted down.
Eventually George was killed by a heroin addict prostitute when he tried beating her, this was moments before he was going to be “hit” that was arranged by the gangster.
So he got his comeuppance eventually.Gruesome and detailed read but a real couldn’t put down book.

One of my fave’s of hers. I think this was made into a drama on tv, one of them was but I cant remember which one, and the titles are all so similar lol. I enjoyed it though, but not as much as the book (as always).

ReviewGory but brilliant read and fabulously holds you, a real page turner.
This book deals on several levels with complex issues of treachery and faith, the pace never lets up.As a hero, Red Metcalfe the detective in charge of the case of a serial killer is empathetic but deeply flawed, a man demonised by his past for shopping his brother to the police for murder, accepting the reward offered, and being responsible for a hit and run.
His nemesis the murderer, named Silver Tongue by the detectives on the case because he cuts out the tongue of his victims prior to death and inserts a silver spoon into their mouth, along side crucification, skinning, hanging, just to mention a few of the ways he murdered his victims, this making him one of the most chilling murderers i have read about.
The other detectives working with Red on the case lead you through twists and turns and wrongful arrests in the attempt to catch this killer who even after 10 murders leaves not a single trace of evidence.
The climax continues to the very last page still adding a twist and holding you to the very last word.Brilliant!!!!!

I’ve read this! Took me a while to get into it, It was a bit slow at the start, it soon got intresting. The gore kept me awake at night… Urgh!
Blood on the Tongue – Stephen Booth.
Not something I’d normally pick up but I had the need to venture out a bit, it was everything I wasn’t expecting and what a bloody good read it is, It’s set near my home town, I just couldn’t put it down. It has history, romance, crime and much more.

12 April, 2008 at 8:41 am #192443Fly Fishing by J.R.Hartley
Incredible story that changed my life. It starts off as a rollicking read that takes you through his many adventures, such as surviving the arctic wilderness, nazi death camps, being acclaimed a god in Limboto; also his influence both in the civil rights and enviromental movements, and being falsely accused of murder. Eastern thought permeates every chapter and it will alter the way you look at yourself and others.
The ending moved me to tears. He was so sad going back to the ‘old knarled tree’ to soothe his wounds, and I learned that fly fishing will never be more important than finding happiness with another human being. Basically he should never have left Edith.
