Oooh don’t try stealing Sgt. Pepper’s thunder, Micky. He is the afficianado around these parts.
Truth to tell..I’m one meself. What’s not to love about them ffs. :wink:15 October, 2008 at 4:28 pm #382354How strange is that reply- I would have thought there was enough room for a couple of threads-some might not worship at the altar and have a some opinions that go against the grain-I’m a huge fan but even I realise that Ringo was not even the best drummer in The Beatles-bless him

I was a fan way back in 1978.
There was nothing I didn’t know about them.
I went to Liverpool with as mate a few days after Lennon was murdered as a kind of homage to the great man.
The band I played in were obsessed with playing as many Beatles songs and covers as we could.
Though I say it myself, our version of Twist and Shout was awesome.
Or as pepper would say “uber”.Ringo got a mention in the newspaper today I notice.

I love them. 8)
I love the way all their albums are so different, and you have a great choice of which you want to listen to depending on your mood.
Sgt Peps album is the best in my opinion though.
15 October, 2008 at 6:01 pm #382359Over rated 60’s boy band
15 October, 2008 at 6:21 pm #382360Well Chicken I suppose they were a 60s boyband -but they did produce some of the best pop music you might have heard depending on your date of birth of course-you could be a baby boomer or into the 70s or the 80s I dunno but people still want to listen and talk about them all these years on overrated or not
17 October, 2008 at 6:08 pm #382361somebody told me they’d mess with my head if I said to much about The Fabs -ffs you loony I’m a fan-
