BBC Director of Television, Jana Bennett, has today appointed an Editorial Executive of Diversity to oversee the way BBC channels represent the audiences they serve.
Jana Bennett said: “The creation of this important new role reflects our commitment to putting audiences at the heart of what we do at the BBC.
“To deliver the ambition of Creative Future and meet audiences’ expectations in a changing world, we need our programmes to reflect fully and accurately the diversity of the UK population.”
Wicked, 90% of the actors and presenters etc will be white.
Does that mean they’ll be sacking many a children presenter and news reader etc? Probably not :(Mary will take overall responsibility for reviewing and tracking on-screen content including the portrayal of black and minority ethnic and disabled people.
WHAT ABOUT WHITE PEOPLE, or dont we matter :(

Yes Emma I totally agree with you on this one.
A friend of mine works at the BBC and they tell me that currently the BBC management is ”celebrating diversity” and that staff are encouraged to wear clothing that ”defines their preferences”. Consequently several male transvestites now appear for work dressed as women – in the Accounts Dept ffs – and their behaviour has become totally extreme and excessively ”camp”. Apparently they all prance about calling everybody ‘Dahling’ and squealing with anticipation whenever a male enters their department.
Whatever next ?????

Sounds like ethnic protection campaign to me.
All I saw was an intention to portray life as it truly is for most british citizens – of all races, colour and creed.
They didnt mention helping white people, so not all.
What I understand this to mean is that it will reflect the fact that, whether we like it or not, we DO live in a multicultural society.
So its a good idea to waste our money on a failed system :roll:

CORRECT. Thats why we need to change the bbc to suit its funding army, US, me and you and everyone else.
We should really be the ones who decide how its run, and how our money is spent.

Why are they reviewing on-screen content of ethnic minorities? Its not because they dont wana help them.
If they can go out there way and pay someone £90,000 of our money to help non whites, they can do so for whites too.
The government have spent millions trying to encourage their multicultural experiment, and part of that funding has classed it as a failure, its non negotiable, its a fact of life.
If you feel that hundreds of murders, many riots, 100,000’s of racial discrimination cases etc etc etc, isnt failure, they you live in a dream world.
There are good things about our multicultural sesspit disaster, but generally, it is just that, a sesspit disaster.
I suppose people living in rural areas, places like oxford etc, dont see the reality of the disaster. Places like that will see this disaster. If the media reported it, they would worry.
230,000 britons leave their homeland each year. Only 200,000 americans leave their homeland for pastures new.
When you consider that britain has 60,000,000 residents, and america has 320,000,000, its not difficult to see which set of people have had enough more.

Secondly people leave the Uk for hundreds of reasons- health, wealth, education, employment, retirement, return to their ancestral home, etc etc- has s/od all to do with the UK as a multicultural society
