I agree also with what Drivel is saying, it’s a lifestyle choice too!! My local gym’s membership is £250 a year. If you get a referral from your doctor, you can join for half the cost. But not many people know that, and it isn’t advertised in my local doctors, it’s advertised in the gym instead. It’s everyone’s choice, but alot of emphasise is put on people to lose the weight to look good in clothes, and very little attention is paid to the health benefits.

The happiest of people don’t necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along their way.

well its weird this! very weird indeed!! not one person who is overwieght or under weight on this site is down to eating wrongly!
its all conditions isnt it!im about half a stone underweight for my height, my problem is? i eat little thats all, and im out and about alot i snack as opposed to eating proper balanced meals!
now a friend of mine is about 17stone! he doesnt have a condition! he is overweight he has over indulged he eats too much he doesnt exercise now heregrets it and is trying to lose the weight
i just wish more people would accept the fact that most and i say and mean MOST overweight people are that way becase they eat too much of the wrong thing and they dont exercise enough
the minority have condiditions, and for some strange reason the minority all use just chat
Weight to height – is not really a good guide Token
It’s the amount of body fat that you should really look at
I.e. a 5 ‘ 6 bodybuilder could weigh about 14 to 15 stones and have only 7% body fat – whereas a 6’ guy weighing 15 stone could have 25% bodyfat
You can tell just by looking – it’s a difficult measureYou’re not too bas on the eating either Token – you shoudl really aim to have 5 preferably 6 meals a day – every 3 waking hours – that keeps your metabolism working properly – spread your calories over 5 to 6 meals – say 400 to 450 cals a meal – eating the right stuff of course – and you will boost your fat burning
If you think you are underweight – go for 500 cals a meal – you will be consuning more cals than you use – then you will gain some weight – but hopefully in muscle not fat .8 August, 2006 at 9:13 am #233811And i bet your a cracker aint ya Drivel? Sex kitten.

Yes, I am what I eat – sweet, salty & nice to be around. The quote reminds me of that awful Gillian what’s her name? nausiating woman – makes me instictively go for the cream bun!
I’m overweight through diet, medication and lifestyle. I pay taxes, have spent more than 10 years without seeing a doctor, have normal blood pressure etc. I do not cost the health service any more than a thin person.
To be quite honest, if all you can see in a person is their size you must be very very shallow and I think it’s very sad. How do you know that you will not increase in size with middle age spread/having to use steroids etc?
Get a life!
8 August, 2006 at 11:32 am #233815There’s no such thing as middle aged spread – it’s just another term for – can’t be bothered to eat properly and exercise
No excuses – but as said already it’s a personal choice8 August, 2006 at 11:42 am #233816@drivel wrote:

Your not bothered about it costing the NHS or anybody else, your just getting your digs in where you can to make yourself feel the bigger man……which is fine, i hear most men with no p e n i s do the same.8 August, 2006 at 11:45 am #233817@tadpole wrote:
