I know that most of us come in JustChat to unwind and chill from the days work and other worry of todays world and things going on in our own personal lives, but perhaps when someone comes in the 40’s room with a problem or really needing someone to listen to them we remember that “we” too have had times that we need that as well. I know in the past years that you know as well as I, alot of things of life have changed in JC and there are some that have caused us to be wary and distrustful. Hence alot of us are wary when someone comes in asking for help or just saying they need a listening ear. We hesitate because we feel it is someone coming in just trying to wind us up, etc. But perhaps we need to be maybe just a bit less cautious and be willing to be like we would like others to be to us. I know we all have been there in that persons shoes. We all in the time I have been here this last 5 years, going on 6 now, have needed that listening ear. Just a thought, not judging anyone, trust me because I too have been guilty of thinking perhaps it is someone just trying to stir trouble, etc. But perhaps we all can just be a little less hasty to and allow someone to ask for help, we all need it from time to time. That listening ear could make a big difference in that persons life.

We have something weighing upon our minds and feel compelled to search out what others input would be on it. I know what some would say before they said it as well,,,,,,some believe its just words typed upon a computer screen. But one must remember, there is a real human behind it with real feelings.

14 January, 2007 at 6:51 pm #256281I must say I´ve gotten alot of help from wonderful people in my short chat career…….I´m very thankful for that and try to help others if I can myself. Maybe it´s the anonymity that makes it easier to open up. All I can say is, bless those that are willing to lend an ear, even if they might not have any answers or tips :)
14 January, 2007 at 6:59 pm #25628215 January, 2007 at 12:20 am #256283well as long as it’s done in pc and not in the public room, you usually can tell if someone is genuine or not, I’d agree with you NCb as long as people are not mislead by any advise given.
16 January, 2007 at 3:48 pm #256284:D :D :D Yes I agree whole heartedly, after all we are all there for friendship, well most of us. We should give every new caller the same courtesy we would expect, if a person isn’t genuin then they will soon show their true colours. After all it does say we are a site for friendly, community chat, and ….. we don’t own the room do we, we use it.
