Chav is a derogatory slang term in popular usage throughout the UK. It refers to a subculture stereotype of a person who is uneducated, uncultured and prone to antisocial or immoral behaviour. The label is typically, though not exclusively, applied to teenagers and young adults of white working-class or lower-middle class origin. Chav is used for both sexes, where a male chav is sometimes referred to as a chavster and a female as a chavette
there ya go

24 February, 2006 at 3:13 pm #199457i swear loads
most of my sentences contain a swearword, in my house swearing was a normal accepted thing so i never learned it was bad like most kids do
altho in my town if you overhear a conversation 9 times out of ten you’ll hear a convo full of swearwords.
tis the way us kent folk are
24 February, 2006 at 3:15 pm #199458Tis very rare I swear and I must admit I have been known to tut at folk who are using foul language when having a normal conversation with me. I also dont like films etc with a lot of swearing especially when it isnt needed to convey what’s happening on the scene. I also don’t like ill manners – doesn’t cost anything to say a simple “please” of “thank you”
24 February, 2006 at 3:36 pm #199459I only like swearing when it’s used to good effect. It used to be the case that swearing was mostly used to add some emotion or impact to what one was saying, but thesedays many peoples’ comments are littered with swear words, and that kinda weakens what they say instead of strengthing it. Lenny Bruce used to say that there is nothing to fear or be offended by regarding swear words, and that if we all used them more often they’d just become common acceptable language. To an extent, I think he’s been proved right.
Swearing is no substitute for more creative language, but used well I think it can enhance what one is saying.
