    Don’t venus flytraps give off a kind of meaty odour to attract flies? Di, I think you may end up with more flies than you can cope with if it attracts all the ones in the neighbourhood.

    runs in kitchen and sniffs
    can’t smell a thing mims

    I know there is a tropical plant that gives off the odour of rotting meat but I don’t think sven is one

    Oh sorry, i’m wrong, it has a sweet smelling nectar to attract the flies. It still likes to attract flies though. Get fly spray :wink:
