i can’t see how any manager would turn the job down
15 January, 2006 at 11:35 pm #182731well if he goes before the world cup
its simple.. get bobby robson in
16 January, 2006 at 12:07 am #182732but with the press looking for dirt on the england manager and trying to get him to look like cack, it doesnt make the job look fun does it for a manager ok, its the england job but its the job that the countries media want to ruin and get you out of
16 January, 2006 at 12:14 am #182733Before every England game I picture certain members of the press hunched
over typewriters like vultures typing pages of how Sven phucked up and why
he should go now!
Then as a after thought they type half a page on the England win, just in case
the worse should happen. :?16 January, 2006 at 4:49 pm #182734Sven should resign with immediate effect. He should`ve resigned after loosing to minows Northern Ireland. Our performance, tactics and attitude that night, was abismal.
Sven earns £4,000,000 a year to be a solid proffessional employee of the English public. Hes at an age where he lives and dies by HIS words.
It doesnt matter whether he was stitched up, HE said what he said of HIS OWN free will. He just thought we wouldnt find out, well we did, and it took a secret filming camera crew to find out what he really thinks.
16 January, 2006 at 5:17 pm #182735Hmm, dont think his players are gonna be too happy with him now anyway. I saw in the paper this morning that he branded Ferdinand “lazy” critisised Rooney’s family background, said that Owen was unhappy at Newcastle and only went because of the salary.
I think it was some sort of sting operation by an English tabloid or something? Anyway’s the players arent happy campers.16 January, 2006 at 5:40 pm #182736Exactly!! a sting operation by the press!! and for what??
to make the england managaer look as bad as possible in a world cup year ffs!!
i just dont know what on earth he has done to deserve this sting operation thats all.
if the players arent happy then they will voice their opinions simple as that
ferdinand is a lazy git, rooneys family are in the nicest words scallies, owen did go to newcastle for the money,
but it may all of been taken out of context we dont know in full what happened.
ether way i just think the press are looking for a scapegat before the world cup
so if sven walks now and we dont win the world cup it will be his fault, if he doesnt walk now and we dont win the world cup it will be his fault for messing up the players minds
if he walks and we win it, it willl be because we got rid of him
if he stays!! and we win it then the press will be eating humble pie!
if i where sven and we won the world cup at my press conference i would stand up and say goodbye and just walk out
16 January, 2006 at 9:01 pm #182737Yup this is baffiling to me. Why would a newspaper who supposedly supports England’s cause deliberately set out to cause friction and division in the England camp? :? In as u say a World Cup year. This is scum journalism of the lowest kind.

Qualified as a top seed, finished top of group with 2nd best record in the whole of Europe
Not exactly a record of failure is it
16 January, 2006 at 11:06 pm #182739In a weak group though Slayer. England are expected to qualify, it’s what they do when they get there that England managers are judged on.
