    Callaghan (O’Callaghan)… of Irish Descent…..

O’Callaghan – “strife.” From Ceallachan, 10th C. King of the Irish province of Munster and chieftain of the Eoghanact, a consortium of the leading families of Munster, and who plundered surrounding counties. Ruled from Caisel ,he is famed for killing Cinneide, father of the future king Brian Boru

My surname originated in France – my ancestors fled France during the French Revolution to save their necks lol and moved to Ireland. Then came over to Scotland during the Potato famine and been here ever since.

Not had much luck my lot.
