I beg your pardon? When Brum have won as much as Derby, have a ground as big as Derby’s and match the crowds Derby get you can start taking the mick about which is the big or little club. Until then, I suggest you concentrate on helping your little club catch up.
Having a stadium that can hold 3,000 more hardly is worth shouting about, Derby have once won the FA CUP, but that was 1945-46 season, so hardly anything to shout about there either. Hush little club derby fan and get back in the championship where you belong.
Your footballing history is amiss, Mr Anita. You forget about two league championships, not to mention European cup semi-finals and famous competitive games against the likes of Real, Benfica & Juve. Now, to a fan of Liverpool, like yourself, or to a United fan that might not seem like much but to a follower of BCFC, whose major honours consist of a single League Cup, that’s the stuff of dreams and it certainly means they haven’t any right to be patronising or deciding whether we’re a small club or not.
3 February, 2008 at 3:46 pm #308858Get ya head from up ya ar se i wasn’t putting derby down ffs man

My history is not a miss at all, winning the championship lol, if you consider winning the 2nd tier of english football as something to be proud of, well that about says it all, your a small club, always will be.
3 February, 2008 at 3:58 pm #308860Do excuse my old fashioned terminology, Mr Anita. By ‘League Championships’ I mean champions of all England. What would now be Premier League Champions.
3 February, 2008 at 4:03 pm #308861
Premier League and predecessors (level 1 of the English football league system)
Football League First Division Champions, 1971–72, 1974–75ooh i stand corrected you did actually win something once, but as it was so long ago, still barely worth mentioning.
3 February, 2008 at 4:09 pm #308862Not once. Twice. And both since I’ve been in the world. Hardly ancient history, even if I do say so myself. In any case, as far as BCFC are concerned, which is the point of my missives, Roy of the Rovers stuff that they can only dream of.
Pip pip.
3 February, 2008 at 4:17 pm #308863But its good to dream of what may be ,,,,,Its good to follow a team who aint been brought by millions of pounds

For once I agree with you. However, the likes of Andrew and other such similar supporters who have probably never even been to Anfield/Old Trafford/Highbury/Emirates, they make up their own history and chest thump about it. Ask them about the diamond formation or who managed Derby in 1968 and they will look at you as if they are about to be hit by a locomotive.
