What makes you think of summer? Certain smells? Certain music? Drinks? What can evoke happy summer memories for you?
Yay I’ll answer :wink:
For me I think it’s the old cliché of freshly mown grass…combined with the smell of suncream, warm air blowing, the sound of cutlery and crockery clinking as everyone has their windows open as they cook/eat dinner.
Laughter always sounds more lighthearted in the summer months…a cold beer, sitting on Blackheath, music playing somewhere in the background.
Light evenings, lazy days and chilled weekends…

Rain.
People moaning about rain.
The joy of empty roads because mothers everywhere can leave their mumtrucks at home.

Overgrown garden

the heat no sleep
the cinema bein full of superhero movies and kids stuff with the exception of ice age 4 i love that
people who wander about in shorts n no top that really shouldntbut to prove im not a complete sourpuss
i like sitting in the garden with mates eating strawberries n cream and having a drink on a summers evening and going for a stroll in the early morning or late at night with my dog max.
I do feel generally more lighthearted and happier in the heat
I do love a clear blue sky.
oh and flip flops, they get a bad press but i like em xxx happy summer

playing all my clubland/wigan pier albums really loudly lol
drinking lots of blue wkd, vodka and coke and smirnoff ice while sat in the garden with your mates
kids running around laughing, joking and being happy 8)

ice cold water
