well i’m still traumatised over the last funeral we had
it went a bit like this………….
Pat’s led the mourners (professional ones by the way) to the crematorium
but didnt crack on that she had a few sherries before she got there,it was only when i saw her winking  at the minister i knew she had been
at the bottle.meanwhile…….. sunny had her walkman plugged into her ears sneakily listening
to the footie as we sang abide with me  then…….. as the coffin slowly
slipped away sunny jumped up and yelled GET IN THERE! i almost died with my legs up
but soon composed myself when i realised that she was reffering to the goal just scored by birmingham.i tell ya, i was mortified
just dont ever tell anyone i fell in the grave GM……….an u left me there.

this place is unbelievable
Amonst all the madness on this thread Toy you are right. on reflection I think perhaps the original post by PB one of the main ‘chiefs’ on these boards shouldnt have been answered. I answered it however as I know a couple of personal freinds of the lady who died and knew that they were very very upset by her death.
I only knew the lady through chatting to her, she was always very nice and I had no idea she was so ill. She was a popular lady who used the lobby in forum 3 mainly and she was in her forties. the first I knew of it was someone phoned me up to tell me, I had no idea as I dont use the forum as much as I used to and another freind of mine also told me in msn later that evening.
As far as announcing it in forum 3 , who knows what goes on in a persons mind who knows they are about to leave this mortal coil, she had a lot of freinds there and to be honest maybe she did want to just say goodbye. I have no reason to think this lady ‘faked’ her own death.
As for youre original comment Toy about this place being unbelievable did you really expect anything else? this place is about making money, its not about people, sure you have a handful of people who do care about each other but i think over the years with the ‘fake’ deaths and insincerity people have become cynical and detached.
I was chastised a short time ago when I tried to pull back a thread into common decency about the austrian lady who had been kept captor for 23 years with the words you cant greive for the whole world, which of course is true to a certain extent but I think its about respect , respect for another human being who has shared this planet with us.
To be fair to a couple of the posters on here I think that the main thread is about being chastised for chatting in a chat room when someone had just been on to say goodbye knowing that they wouldnt see another day , i know that it was aimed at sunny who I have to say has the biggest heart and is one of the most caring people i know, it was just bad timing for her and I feel for her having been the butt of the anger and the sorrow felt by some of Page’s freinds. (doa having already named her)
What I would like to suggest is that this thread is now locked, as a mark of respect for page and some of her closest freinds who are grieving the loss of a very nice lady who was only in her early forties and from what i gather was a very brave lady too.
Rest in peace Page, and for her freinds who maybe reading this I am sorry for the loss of your freind.

15 June, 2008 at 9:30 am #348027I confess to being somewhat intrigued. Now we all know that this person’s user name was “Page” …. so what’s the big deal about keeping this such a secret??? Given that she was so well known and loved by so many Forum users (???????) so why the big deal about not mentioning her name (assuming of course that “Page” actually was a “She”).
We also have / had a member called “Paige” … is this the same person or a different one??? Who really knows?
Maybe I’m a cynic (OK .. I am a cynic) but I still find it really hard to believe that a person is literally at death’s door, with only a few hours left to live, and they still manage to find the physical and emotional strength to fire up their computer, type in their user name and go into an internet chatroom to natter with their “friends” for a while. (This point has already been made by several others).
So I’m sorry about all this “mark of respect for ….” stuff and suchlike. If you really want to grieve over the supposed loss of someone you didn’t know then fine, that’s up to you. But please don’t expect me to take all this rubbish seriously will you? After all it’s only a bloody computer.
15 June, 2008 at 9:59 am #348028I agree PB,If I was sooo seriously ill, I wouldn’t be spending time with friends and family, not sitting on a chat forum talking shyte to people I have never actually met.
And please don’t come out with the same old tosh of no friends or family because if she was that ill and alone she’d be in hospital.
I am glad to be a cynical old sour arse!
15 June, 2008 at 10:02 am #348029Actually, PB and old “sour ar.se sian” if JC was an essential and important part of the life of the lady in question – Paige – then it IS entirely feasible that in her final hours she wanted desperately to communicate with her online friends in a last burst of reality/normality and human contact before taking that last final and unknown journey. For all you or I or anyone else is aware, her online family may have been her only one.
Folk would do well to stop examining everything from their own limited experiences. There are stranger reasonings and fathomings out there beyond our ken. A little kindness given, ain’t gonna hurt, but cynicism only withers miserable hearts even further. -
