Well we will have to agree to disagree on this one Ruby… I agree that bankers were a contributing factor in the financial chaos we all face… but lets not forget they were Gordon Browns best friends when they were creating what was mistakenly thought to be wealth for the country.

I dont agree with bankers getting bonuses whilst ever they are in debt to the taxpayer… but dont think the sum of all their bonuses would make one iota of difference to the problems we face.. it would be a drop in the ocean. Everyone on the planet has seen their pensions eroded….the public sector pensions will still be far better than private ones ….even with the proposed government cut backs.

One last thing….. Jeremy Clarkson… yes an idiot but his remarks were clearly tongue in cheek comments by someone known for controversial statements. I think calling the police in is ridiculous and a slight against the British sense of humour… bad taste I agree…. but come on… not criminal :?

Its kinda funny for me to read this thread, your in the same boat we were last year.
And were still in the shìt with no sign of it lifting.

One thing is clear from this thread, your Government have won – they have divided the private and public sectors and noone is putting blame where it truly belongs – back on the Government and bankers.

I am too but apportioning blame does not solve the problem… and remember its a global problem too…. yes we had bad management but its no good stamping your feet and shouting its not fair…. there has to be solutions and it will be painful for all of us.

even money says the majority of
those with such stong views and are pro the strikes
    arnt in gainfull employment

I think you would lose your bet, Lets face it if you aren’t employed why would you need to strike?

cus like strikers life long malingerers belong to thesome thing for nothing culture that grips this country :P

I hope you had the good grace to put your children if you have any .. Through the private education system being as you hold such low esteem of our teachers.
I imagine your wife will have had a private room while giving birth to them, After all a malingering midwife just would not do eh?

    teachers and midwifes arnt heros
they just do their jobs that they are paid for
as a tax payer i am of course entitled to have medical treatment and schooling for my kids
my kids did go to private nursery at my expense
and we did have medical insurance
the whole family have had treatment under the insurance cover
which will in return have saved the state thousands of pounds
all in all im a model citizen hard working and considerate not to mention self sufficient
neve once claimed a penny from the state
any thing ive wanted ive worked for and paid for
its a shame that many others dont aspire to be more like me
mostly malingerers and strikers dissapoint me
many many peopel in this country would love to have a job but for one reason or another they cant
and i think its disrespectfull of those paid for by the tax payer to treat a job with such contempt
thank you for your interest :P

Even money says that those so vehmently against the strike are those self employed tax evading know it alls, who haven’t had the good sense to provide themselves with any form of pension,
Therefore they begrudge anyone who has worked and PAID into a PENSION CONTRACT all their working lives.
If a builder did an extension and it was an agreed price of say £10,000 would it be alright if when the job was finished The client only paid £6,000 because he had messed up his finances? :?

So you attack those that stereotype public sector workers with another stereotype?

It was tongue in cheek Jen jen .. Fight like with like
