Panda’s stories are written in a very similar style to Joker’s style(?). They are an exercise in character assassination of Joker’s enemy, Maria, and leave a bad taste in the mouth. The picture of Maria presented in the better story-tellers is funnier. These stories leave me with a bad picture of the writer.

Well I hope the chatters with whom I did not begin the conversation using that line are at least a little insulted if they thought that I wasn’t chatting them up.

I honestly agreed with an opinion about your writing. I consider the other two writers to have produced more original work and to have given me more pleasure.
That does not belittle the quality of your writing in any way, as I consider both Coathanger and, especially more recently, Camel Blue to have produced superior material by wider standards. Until you began writing in your own name I even suspected that you might be Camel Blue. But it would be very difficult to begin writing anything in a similar vein without showing a debt to the originators.
However, I don’t think this subject of this thread invites personal comments and I would like to make an appeal to you about the comments you have directed at me.
I understand you have some antipathy towards VIP and myself for reasons best known to yourself. I prefer not to comment on the truth or otherwise of your statements about me, as denial, agreement or correction could add fuel to a fire which should not exist. I am not happy about them, but they do no real harm to me. I am prepared to concede any moral or material high ground that you claim.
You have made some positive contributions to the boards lately. A lot of people fail to give you credit for your intelligence, loyalty and creativity. I don’t think I am a worthy enough target to distract from your better qualities. So I will continue not to comment about myself unless absolutely necessary.
However, I don’t know what injury has been done you by the woman whose identity you have given clues about or another woman you have named. I would ask you to stop mentioning or alluding to them. In an unequal world they they bound to be seen in an even less favourable light than the one you aim at me, especially by association with the way you portray me.
If they have hurt you in any way, then it appears to have been done privately, and I think you should sort it out privately, although it is your choice of course. I am only making this appeal publicly so that there can be no confusion about what I’ve actually said.
I also believe you are a good friend and confidant to several people in JC and I think it would be unfortunate if it was thought likely that you would betray confidences unintentionally.
I wish you the same measure of happiness and peace that I wish everyone, especially at this time of year.
For the peace and harmony of the boards I will concede on this issue, noting the sarcasm in which you penned your reply. Any issues you infer are the cause for my remarks are purely speculative, as is 99% of what I read about me on these boards and in the forum itself. Whilst I will openly admit my contempt to the likes of those using Just chat as a means to obtaining sexual gratification by whatever means they choose it does not mean I have to accept it or indeed condone it. So on that note the matter is closed and with the same sincerity Happy New Year.
No sarcasm intended. Every statement was sincerely meant, carefully typed and can be taken at face value.
Wordsworth, that was a good gesture of reconciliation to someone who has persistently sought to embarrass and intimidate you. You’re a better man than I am, and I wish you a special happy new year.
I agree with best man re Camel Blue (who is definitely NOT Joker). The Camel is a good writer, and should be strongly encouraged to write more stories. They’re strories rather than satires, and enjoyable ones about the disparate and glorious crew of JC as they set out on an evening’s affair which turns into farce. Everybody sets out to make a big impression but ends up making a total fool of themselves – it’s very very affectionate, and can be very funny. I see the Camel as a very valuable member of the JC community.
Nothing to stop the writers defending themselves, criticising themselves, naming themselves, best of all writing new stories.
Nothing to make them either, but j-in-France has the last word – just keep the stories coming – pretty please
