well its a shame you have to go sharon im also a bit dissapointed in the so called friends you made on this message board who seemed to of left you when you needed them!

as for the head in a crocs mouth? i think i was referring to him feeding an angry crocodile whilst holding a baby in his arms, it was in alot of papers!
i have read (only today) about his parents who started the australia zoo and i can do nothing but congratulate him on his and his families work with animals

i merely commented on his choice of lifestyle which was a tiny bit more risky than smoking a cigarette

res in peace steve i admire you for your work with animals and as a conservationist

Everyone has been saying that because its the only thing they have found that is a negative issue, but I watched that program, and he wasn’t as close as you think…He was about 10 yards away from the crocodile for a start, and the baby was in his other arm, at the other side of him! People like you, read the media bullsh1t, Token. They made it as if he and his baby was up at the crocodiles mouth!

He was a lovely man who saved so many animals from forest fires, etc etc..And did so much, like others have said, for wild life! He would go into forest fires to rescue these things..That came first to him(and obviously his family)..Everything else came second..

People like you, Token, obviously knew little about the kind of man he was, and what he truly loved doing…He should be appreciated, not slated..Because to me, he is very much appreciated!

Don’t get him confused with his on screen hyper active ways we saw alot of…Look up about what he did when he was off screen before slating him.

Have to agree with ROBBO although i hate to but he is right. He did so much more good but for some reason in his death people are picking out the bad ~(and in my opinion it wasnt as bad as its made out).

i have already said my respects to the man

being honest i hate the whole thing! no one says anything when someone is alive! only when theyve died!

i doubt any one person on here watched him on a tv show and thought wow he is such an environmentalist and such a great man! RUBBISH! you watched it and thought what a looney! he was entertaining to some not to everyone

whilst i respect what the man has done i will not say i ever liked his programme mainly because of his personality, i didnt mind the bits where he was being serious but when he went off on one with all the catch phrases it wasnt for me

tv companies wont help either! hence why his website is now asking for people to donate money to a fund, as now thw tv companies dont have their man they arent really going to give ut any moey to the cause are they!

as for all the animal lovers on here who admired steves work so much and admired what he has done and admired him as a person

im sure you have all donated money by now? so well done to you al

Somewhere in the archives of his shows is the moment his wife goes into Labour with their first child Bindi. I used to think he was some kind of loony. I saw that programme and it changed my opinion of this man forever.

You don’t have to donate money for appreciating what he did. Appreciation is showing a form of respect to the man himself, and the passion he held close to his heart..You don’t even have to be an animal lover to respect his work ethic, but you can be a respectful person by showing respect to what he did..The things he saved…Also, the things he let us see…But mainly, him risking his life to save these animals from extreme dangerous situations, as in extreme forest blazes, and for him showing us things that not many people got to see close up like that.

Individuals like you do frustrate me at times, Token…The donation thing is a prime example, and the way you put it..Think before you add the little extra bits,. You basically tried to make others feel guilty, the ones who respected him as a human being, with this donation thing…Learn the difference before replying.

So….. leaving aside the fact that some of Stevie’s chief mourners loved him soooooo much that they don’t even know how to spell his name correctly, I spotted the following newsy items which should be of interest to al those contributors who profess their undying lurve for animals etc etc.

Steve Irwin’s death is, of course, a tragedy.
But spare a thought for the animals that
    died this week too.

    1. Squirrel.
Finnish opera singer Esa Ruuttunen was cycling
to the Helsinki Opera House to sing in the
world premiere of a new opera when a squirrel
ran into his bicycle wheel. Esa fell, broke
his nose and missed the opera. The squirrel
got crushed in the spokes and died.

    2. Lucy.
One of the oldest African elephants, Lucy,
was put to sleep this week at Milwaukee
County Zoo when she could no longer stand up.
Lucy’s companion Brittany, now the only
elephant at the zoo, has been spending time in
Lucy’s stall to help with the grieving process.

    3. Pet Chicken
Oregon couple Mary and Stanley Gray spent the
Labor Day holiday getting drunk and getting
into arguments. Stanley decided to get one
over on his wife – he shot dead her pet chicken.
So Mary got out her gun and shot Stanley.
