Cant believe its 18 years since the murder of Stephen Lawrence!!!!
I didn’t even know untill I watched the news that 2 men charged with his murder will go on trial later this year….if guilty they have had 18 years already that stephen was denied simply because he was a black man waiting at a bus stop……an unprovoked racist attack…. lets hope Justice will finally be served!

Yes I agree, it’s been 18 years overdue. Watching his mother speak about the coming trial I think showed how much pain she still feels. Most can only imagine the trauma caused by a death of this kind. It’s early days yet but if found guilty, I hope they never sleep a wink till they draw their last breath.

True story:
One of my best friends lived in Eltham at the time and it was outside HIS house that Stephen Lawrence collapsed and died.
It took the police over a week to interview him over what he might have seen (he didn’t see anything, as it happens)
He and his family moved elsewhere a few weeks later, as the house understandably became a bit of a shrine.
RIP Stephen, may you get justice soon.
How terrible for his family too… thier whole life since the murder must have been dominated by waiting for justice…. lets hope if these men did it that justice will be done,
