Ive said this a lot but how the heck can actors on set being paid at work be allowed to smoke whilst playing their characters? They are at work with camera men directors and what nots all around them yet they can still smoke,
I suppose its because they are “pretending to be in their own homes”.
If this ban is going to work, then that should be addressed because people are still being exposed to the whole thing being exploited publicly, yet the rest of us watch pubs close, stand outside and suffer.
And rightly so, take ya habbit outside!
Oh I dont think the Habbit would like it do you… can you see him agreeing to it?

How does smoking and driving, put peoples life in danger?
Because if you are driving and smoking at the same time, you may not be concentrating on the road. Which may cause you to have an accident, and cost some poor person their life.
Rubbish!! If you smoked you would know why I said that. I think
instead of targetting the smokers, maybe concentrate, on “Drunk” driving first!!
Iv never heard of anyone causing an accident through having a fag, while driving. No offence to you Lolipop, But Its total B*llocks!!

=D> =D> =D> Well said
I’m an ex smoker, but even so i’m still sick to death of the constant whining and of it all being against the smoker. All you lot who still complain about it, I bet most of you drive cars which also emit dangerous toxins into the atmosphere
16 February, 2008 at 10:02 am #312533I actually Agree with the not smoking around people that dont Cas, Even around my friends house`s I stand outside, even if they say dont worry! just have a fag in here.
Even in the pubs, I sort of agree with, even though, I wish they would give us somewhere
warm to stand… But to say, having a cigerette,in your own car, can cause other people to lose their life. Whatever next! :D16 February, 2008 at 10:07 am #312534@prettypink wrote:

Even when I did smoke I thought it was a good idea too, and on the whole it didn’t bother me as much as I thought it would, not being able to smoke in the pub.
But to even hint that the possibility of having a smoke in your own car is likely to cause accidents and injury to other people is ridiculous, as you say. Where do you draw the line in that case, do you stop people from playing their radios, or cd’s in their cars. Not to mention the fact, and it has happened, how many accidents have happened over people checking their sat navs! How many sat navs come to that, have caused accidents by sending drivers the wrong way in general and the wrong way up one way streets!!!

people who stink of garlic.
people who are on the dole.
people who drive at 20 mph everywhere.
people who pay for thei shopping with mountains of change.
people who dont drink up in the ten minutes allowed by law.
people who park on double yellow lines.
people who swear.
people who fart.
people who dont go to church.
people who dont pick their crisp packets up.
and dont forget, release the burglars, rapists poor pensioners and car thieves..
smiley yer a muppet.. :wink:16 February, 2008 at 11:56 am #312537They could make people who drive cars wear crash helmets. Have you ever tried to smoke riding a motorbike, it ain’t easy :D
16 February, 2008 at 4:16 pm #312538Well being a Smoker, its ok ive got one of those fishtank smokin helmet on folks….
I actually think im a curtis smoker, I smoke in 1 room only in the house, the window is always open, the kids know they don’t go into it, as I do think of their health, in the summer i’ll smoke outside, but not in this weather…
This smoking ban has been put too far, there is also a senisble solotion I think, As banning it from Pubs, restaurants is silly in ways… As now the problem is everyone whom smokes huddle outside, its horrible to look at, fag ends on the street, drunks hangin againest the walls, for residents the noise level must of increased….
Now I agree that if you Allowed Children, Served Food then your premises should be a Smoke-free Zone…
If you didnt let the above happen in your pub, then you could have a smoking pub, all Barstaff whom work in the place must be a smoker, no food and defo no kids..!!!
everywhere else yes a Ban, Im glad i aint in the pub trade anymore as the amount of pubs which have closed here in Paisley places where normally were busy… now are locked up…. people lost jobs, people stayin away because of the smoking ban etc…
there’s lots of pro’s and con’s, but I don’t see how far do you go….
16 February, 2008 at 4:45 pm #312539Think they should let the publican decide, that way, there will be some smoking pubs, and some no smoking pubs, then smokers and non smokers can have a choice, Much better
idea, cant see it happining though!! :( -
