    Rose thank you I went shopping yesterday and got the ingredients and today I cooked spotted di*ck for the first time and it was lovely. :lol:

    Great Termy glad someone appreciates that in this weather what we all need is good old fashioned comfort food!

    If the thaw continues I’ll be back to the usual fish and veg with the odd lettuce leaf! Oh joy!

    I have to agree with you on the comfort food RP. I just had a wonderful slice of steak pie in a golden shortcrust served up with roast potatoes, mashed potatoes, peas and sliced carrots (steamed of course :) ) with lashings of gravy made with the water from the steamer. MmMmMmMmMm cant beat it. :D

    In this weather though a bowl of my homemade broth with a crusty loaf is just as nice. :D

    I have never had spotted dick BTW, theres something putting me off it :lol:

    Well you can make the suet pudding without the currants and have Golden Syrup on it instead.
