Merkel should get the plonker of the year award for this doozy of an idea. You couldn’t make it up could you?
I’m not sure if that is relevent to the attack at all, but it is a bad idea to let people who are not properly qualified to drive lorries because their nationality. It seems that the Tunisian government was involved in the attack though, I will post more when I have more information about this.

From what I understand he murdered the polish lorry driver and stole the lorry.

He did. However when the lorry crashed, the Polish driver was still alive, according to an autopsy report.
So- as per usual in these circumstances, the facts slowly emerge. Anis Amri was being monitored by the German Secret Service, was known the be a radical extremist and quietly slipped under the radar before he carried out this planned attack. This man was a failed asylum seeker yet allowed to saunter around Germany at will, with various identities. Laughably the Germans claim he could not be deported because he “did not have the right paperwork”.
According to Tinsel economic “migrants” and fake “asylum seekers” suspected of being extremist are one and the same and preventing all of them from driving lorries would have prevented this attack. Obviously, applying the logic on this thread, no one knows how to drive a HGV if they are not EU nationals and preventing ALL Muslims from the Middle East region entering the EU zone and learning how to drive HGV’s will prevent all future attacks.

SHR…can you seriously not see that, Merkels idea was, and still is insane? ISIS have made it very clear, that amongst the ‘refugees’ (economic migrants) currently flooding into Europe, thanks to that woman, they are hiding jihadists. Clearly this murdering scum bag was one such person.
Can you imagine the sheer scale of the carnage, if such people were given jobs as lorry drivers, on the basis that they are ‘refugees’ who need a job?

This is one of the reasons why I don’t want open borders with Germany, they seem to be unable to police the people they are letting into the country. I don’t see any other option than restricting all movement from these regions of the world for the moment. There’s no way to tell who is an extremist and who is not.

I suspect he was trying to return to Tunisia, which is something I mentioned earlier. I don’t know why else he would be in Italy. But we can’t learn anything from him now he is dead, capturing him alive would have been preferable.

These attacks would still happen regardless, nothing stops the lorries from being stolen. But allowing unqualified drivers to drive lorries, refugee or not is obviously a bad idea.
So, it happened again.
