Been test this netgear dg834gv3 (£60) all day and I must say that the down load speed is 1/2 of the free speedtouch 330 (free with most broadband provers).
I run broadband speed test with a netgear and get about 1.5mb.
The speedtouch gives me about 7.5mb
I get the feeling that most people are paying for 8 mb broadband and only get about 1mb per sec dew to there wireless router.
After 4 hours of trying to speed up the netgear, I still can’t find a way.

i did find the answer to this, the speed touch comes with optimzer software pack for above 4mb, which most wireless routers like netgear do not have.
The router runs at 8mb, but without the software pack your computer will not.
Netgear have told me there going to put an upgrade on there web site soon to fix the problem.
Ok it looks like I found a free progam to fix this. Using the TCP Optimizer I was able to get this netgear router to run at about 5mb, but not the 8mb I get from the speedtouch.
The up load speed is about 385kps so voice on msn should work now.
If you have the time pls try the progam and let me know how you get on.
