I know it sounds daft but are all the connections pushed in as far as they go?

When I moved my pc from the front room, I couldnt get the speakers working…. till I checked them, and found one of the connections slightly loose.

Mine go in the green port on my pc, if thats any help?

Make sure the drivers for your soundcard are installed. Right click on the my computer icon, select properties, then select the hardware tab, then go into the device manager tab. If you have a yellow triangle by the soundcard, game controllers etc, then you probably dont have the drivers installed for your soundcard. If you know the make of your soundcard you should be able to download them easily enough.

    Right tell me the following.

type of speakers and makers name

type and make of web cam.

I think this could be a usb conflick problem.

have you tried plugging speakers into your ipod/mp3 socket – if sound comes out of that, then it’s your computer that’s buggered
