A new invention intended to catch rapists has been designed by Sonette Ehlers. Approximately 1.5 million rapes occur in South Africa each year, one of the highest rates in the world.

The device, designed for a woman to insert, attaches itself to a rapist and has to be surgically removed. The tampon-sized device, and expects it to go on sale next month.

    What a great idea

What is the world coming to when women have to go to these lengths to protect themselves

true, its a very sad state of affairs when women have to go to these lengths, but, while theres men out there who continue to abuse women in this way, a deterent is whats needed.

I personally think its a shame the device can be removed, cant they develop it a bit further and design one that actually chops their di ck off?

I’m sure if this device ever takes off in the USA some case would be thrown out due the to fact it would be abusing a mans human rights. Not to mention assault, oh and claim compensation for the stress caused and loss of earnings

when they arrive at the hospital to have this device removed, it should only be done on the condition that they first have the word “rapist” tattooed in nice big letters on their forehead

This is hardly a new thing even tho this particular product might be a new one

They’ve had a device that has a razor blade set inside a sheath for years over there which apparently works wonders :)

They also have the right idea concerning car theft, some of the security systems they have incinerate, electrocute or gas the car theif and yet others ram an 18 inch spilke up through the seat with compressed gas or have air horns in the car so loud they deafen (literally) anyone inside

And car jackers?? You can legally shot the fookers :D

And best of all its ALL legal  , their view is if youre committing a crime then you lose any rights

Why cant we have a legal system like that?

The only downside with that tho is the chance it might make gay men start to steal cars
