Oh my God… bloody hell…. what in heavens names is all this crap about….. 8)
19 September, 2006 at 1:29 pm #241850I believe that it’s easier for people to say that there is no God or Satan because they truly don’t want to believe that when this life is finished, they will be held responsible for their actions. I’m Catholic and I know there is heaven. I’ve never in my life doubted that it exists. My belief just gets stronger the older I get. My blind faith turned to proof when I held my baby for the first time. Proof of hell and Satan? That’s easy, look at the people who rape, torture and murder children. There in lye’s your proof.

Are Muslims allowed into this place u call heaven or is it just a closed shop a bit like the working mens clubs where women are politely but firmly told to wait outside. And if Muslims are not allowed into “your” heaven then where do they go. Maybe each religion has its own planet where people go after they die. Each time our planets came into close orbit we could all throw stones at each other, burn effigies and swear that our Gods better than your God . Hmmmmmm…… the more u think about the more this “heaven” sounds like EARTH.

Matty you seem very sure of the fact that there is no heaven or afterlife, may I ask how you know this as a fact?
I personally don’t believe in God, I think the whole idea is absurd but I understand that some people need to cling on to the belief that there is something higher who they can turn to in times of need and I understand that. But at the same time no-one can say there is no afterlife, you may not believe it but its one of those thing’s we will never know exists until we die. I’d like to think there is some alternate world where you will see you’re loved ones once you die, its an idealist place and you’re probably right in saying that it doesn’t exist but there’s no way to prove it.
Nor can you prove if there is a god or not, how can you begin to think of afterlife when you believe the idea of God as absurd? Surely believing in god advocates that there is another life beyond this one on earth? You contradict yourself.
I don’t contradict myself, there are many different people who believe in an afterlife of some sort but not a god figure. I never said the afterlife was “heaven” and I personally don’t believe in god but I understand people do and respect that. Like I said there may be nothing after we die but who knows.
Matty I understand what you are saying, but there is certain phenomenon that even scientists can’t explain away as nonsense. Each person has their own viewpoint on the whole idea and no-one can say whats right or wrong as we don’t know the answers
You are the one that said the idea of God is absurd, how can that be absurd if afterlife isn’t?

Why wouldn’t Heaven allow Muslims? If a Muslim is a good person, and has a good heart, then yes, Heaven allows Muslims. Terrorists however are going to hell. Just because these Terrorists are Muslim does not make all Muslim people evil. They actually have a very gentle religion. I don’t think it matters what religion you are, as long as you’re a good person.

If you are a Spiritualist you believe in an afterlife, not religion
If you are Religious you believe in a God.So they dont necessarily follow on, what I mean is you do not have to be religious to be a spiritualist.

19 September, 2006 at 10:36 pm #241857I believe in God and the bible. I grew up in an extremely religious family. I do not practice the same faith I was brought up in…because to me it was a little fanatical. I will allow my children to choose for themselves. I think alot of people in religious positions are hypocrites. To me its how you live your life everyday not just determined by what you do on Sundays.

My point is that she finds God absurd, how can you find the idea of God absurd when itself is a continuence of life, as is the afterlife? This is my point. If you can open your mind to the afterlife then you can open your mind to God. Nothing more nothing less.
