so if its all true, from the bible, once we die, we go to this place called heaven? our bodies however stay on earth (security is pretty strict on the gates of heaven)
so whats this greatness called heaven? what is there ? baring in mind we have no bodies to enjoy it
really though, its pretty hard to get your head round, why do people really beleive in an afterlife? are people really so scared of dieing and not being existant that they dream up some idea that we go on forever? we die, thats it, there is no god looking after us, we live life through fate, we decide what happens, what we do in the next 5 mins could change what will happen in 20 years time, people will beleive what they want to beleive in, and guide there life in that way, family and friends in life will guide us too, it has nothing to do with a God, we are being guided by the people around us
so if somone asks me who god is, then my answer will probably be, friends and family, its not one person, its everyone in that respect, we all play a part on somone elses life, be it good or bad
so when asked what is heaven, my answer is emptyness and space, heaven is nothing but one big dream invented by myth. dreams no longer become dreams once they become true, heaven will forever be a dream, but it gives us hope
amen :) and goodnight

i think god is a thing, something greater than us. we are so clever and complex that people just think there must be a reason behind living, just to die at rendom times/places.
i know what you mean, its confusing. i think its a nice thought that we are worthy of a bit more, and my mother in law who visits mediums has had comforting messages from her late husband (supposedly). whether you believe it or not, its a comfort for her, and gives her nice thoughts.
i hope somebody pops along soon with the real answers to your observations, but i wouldnt hold yer breath (well not for too long…. you may get to heaven faster than ya think lol!!)
17 September, 2006 at 11:24 pm #241821but thats the thing, your mother in law relys on beleiving in somthing to give her comfort, truth is, once somone dies, you will never get the chance to speak to them again, its harsh, but its true, do you think if people reall could pass messeges on, they would pass on messages that made more sense? rather in riddles? my mum went to one once, and was told that.. a woman in a photgrapth that was taken 4 years ago says hello, and says everything is ok and don’t worry
i mean, why not just say, ohh betty, your friend says shes fine… rather then some riddle
17 September, 2006 at 11:29 pm #241822As I said before on another thread a God figure is the most logical possibilty for the Universe coming into Exsistence, because the Universe didnt create itself.
17 September, 2006 at 11:41 pm #241823i do beleive in spiritualism, but am a sceptical believer… if you get what i mean?
there are what i would call good mediums out there who do bring comfort and if that is all they are doing there is no harm in it. there are others who are out to make a fast buck
derron brown believes its all mind reading and i think he has a point. he did a great show, showing all the tricks mediums use
id love to see a celebrity boxing match Derron Brown v Derek Acorah,
(if he is as good as he reckons he is, he should be able to fix the fight with the help of Sam, his spirit guide lol!)
18 September, 2006 at 6:54 am #241824To be honest I don’t believe in that stuff… heaven and hell that is 8) what’s the point in “living” or existing for ever  who’d benefit of that  and think about that heaven thing. “Lets all be together with Jesus! yay!!! …so… what do we do know? :-k ” that’d remind me of that scene in Madacascar when the penguin finally arrive to the Antarctis    “this sucks!” and what about hell then!? I think devil would get really bored torturing everyone all the time. I mean: what’s the poin? why would he care if we’ve been bad on Earth!!!
and if I’m wrong I’m not scared to go to hell (lets face it…I aint going to heaven  ) hell has frozen already and I’m used to the cold   :lol:18 September, 2006 at 8:46 am #241825All gods were created by man, Gods in themselves are figments of mans imagination and created to control others.

“Religions are just ways to control masses.”
I’ve been saying that for so long! 8)
18 September, 2006 at 11:59 am #241827Ok. I’d like to hear your explantion for how the Universe came into effect then? As I said it didnt create itself. It’s not good enough to say God is BS and not be able to give an answer to that question.
18 September, 2006 at 2:25 pm #241828You obviously have little conception of the study of physics, biography, or evolution, so it would be little point in trying to explain it to you.
I leave you to your dream world.
