So what ?
Radio 2 was fascinating and those cigs don’t smoke themselves.Had to park up in McDonalds then trudge through sludge. So what ?
I needed the exercise and showed an example. Why exactly has this country turned into a nation of wimps ?

1 December, 2010 at 8:56 am #4552681 December, 2010 at 9:23 am #455269I was in Durham yesterday morning – 3 trains cancelled to Newcastle – managed to get there, then two trains cancelled to Kings Cross – so two loads of peeps on one train – thank god I am used to the Northern Line – I just shoved in so I wouldn’t have stand for 5hrs – the train broke down fgs! Then no tube station open – so taxi to home, which cost more than my train fare to friggin Newcastle! Then flight delayed by 3hrs – I give up on British transport – but I am back here now, and at least I didn’t have to spend 6hrs over-night on a train, which I have just read on the news! Small mercies!
Moto: I ain’t going up’t norf again!
1 December, 2010 at 3:05 pm #455270Harping ?? I will gie ye bluddy “harping”.. not been over the door for a week now. I am now officially snowed in. And beginning to panic slightly. I live in what is really the country,as im that far out of town.a well as no transport, and even IF i drove there are that my abndonded cars that no road is passable. The normally 20 mnute away shops, are closed too,, even the pub is closed!!!! Not that i had any intention of going like it must be breaking the landlords heart as he is tight as a sharks erse ! No doubt he will put the prices up ( again) on the excuse he has to get money back from the great thunder/lightning,blizzard white outs of 2010.
I am just lucky that as a decent enough cook, i keep plenty of provisions like pulses/pasta/rices in the cupboard. Thank goodness for being a secondary school educated child of the 70’s, I was taught how to make bread, soups and pancakes etc. Im now on powdered mlk !! I wold refer to this as the spirit o the blitz,, but there are some damm selfish fvckers out there, like my next door neighbour and her car ! But thats another whinge :) -
