anybody got it? Im having a few probs, but rather than go into the problem let me know if you have it and I will then explain.
Ive had a google, and get pretty much the same answer.
Please somebody rescue me before I have to make the dreaded call to sky and go through the usual rigmoral of unplugging/replugging/doing a tango/makin tea/ you know the drill……
anybody?

Unexplained problems with Sky are more common than you realise. Sky’s unique Indian call centre system is specifically designed to assist users, such as yourself Sharon, with problems that they’d rather not explain.
You simply call them (free at the point of use) and don’t explain the problem you are having. They in turn will take you through a whole series of meaningless checks to verify the issue and ….”Hey Presto” – your problem is suddenly explained.
Have a nice day.

That’s an interesting trick … if you know how it works.
So you don’t have an account with Sky and presumably they simply picked your name at random out of some sort of directory and thought “I know, we’ll send this bloke a bill for something or other and maybe he’ll pay it.”
On this basis, Sky (or anyone else for that matter) don’t need real customers. They simply send out bills to total strangers demanding money – some of them are bound to pay.

Have you looked Here? Might be worth having a gander. :)
Thanks Cym, will have a wonder through that later when I have a bit of time, looks pretty good.
There is a re-set option, but Im gonna wait till the new telly arrives and set it all up then. The remote has a mind of its own… I was going through my planner using the up and down buttons on the control and it was randomly deleting things without me asking it too. I checked the yellow button wasnt pressed in and it wasnt, so I dont know how that happened.
And it randomly loses control of the sky box too, its becoming a bit of a pain, but Im still not annoyed enough to ring that call centre, infact nowhere near!
23 July, 2008 at 3:25 pm #356848I think if you are under 30 the SKY box is easy to use and understand………….
But if your not……… heaven help you !!!!!
And don’t knock Sky’s costumer service team, I have base my busyness on them.
Sending bills to people you don’t know is OK and most just pay up before the court summons.
I call them “tips” (but keep the amounts low, they are more likely to pay up faster.)
23 July, 2008 at 3:55 pm #356849Is that who I have to phone when I move Shaz… oh God I’m dreading it!
23 July, 2008 at 4:25 pm #356850They was ok when we moved, no probs atall infact, but Ive heard others who have not been as lucky. TBH, you expect delays and stuff so looking back it was nothing to moan about.
