I’m being serious here!
I believe that if single parents are taxed, it will improve society, and a child’s life.
14 July, 2007 at 10:35 pm #277488… and I totally agree with you – hence the ”Slapper Tax” idea.

Right this is my only message to you.Say a woman is made a widow and is left a single parent does she deserved to be taxed ? because she is (by no fault of her own, unless she murdered her hubby) A SINGLE PARENT.
Stevenage, as I said, it is not a question whether people “deserve it or not”, the tax isn’t designed to be a punishment. But, yes, taxes have to be fair. You can’t have one rule for one, another rule for another.Widows, after a ‘breathing space period’ of 5 years would be taxed, too. But NOT as a punishment !!
I believe in being fair. Hence 5 years of breathing space, taxing them straight after would just be evil.
15 July, 2007 at 4:56 am #277490i WAS widowed..he paid years and years into his pension,, he was 38 when he died,,
IF he would have died at 40 i would have received full pension.
i worked for years..as He did as MY dad did blah blah..
because he looked after US..we get it taken off us..me and the kids !
so i was a single parent ! and i paid me taxes !
WHY hit the innocents !!
15 July, 2007 at 6:30 am #277491You know Tommy, they’re both quite right. There ought to be an exemption for widows because they at least did the decent thing and got married.
How about a five year exemption for all widows (on production of a valid marriage certificate)??? After 5 years they revert to the status of a slapper and become liable to the Slapper Tax.
15 July, 2007 at 9:53 am #277492/SNEERS HAUGHTILY in YOUR general direction !
15 July, 2007 at 1:41 pm #277493And how about tax “relief” for widowed men. This money could then be put towards hiring a cleaner/cook and keep them in the manner that they were accustomed before their dear wife’s untimely departure…. :D
15 July, 2007 at 2:09 pm #277494Yes … that’s fair fastcars. After all somebody’s got to do the washing, ironing, cleaning and cooking and it clearly isn’t right for widowers to do it. I mean, good heavens – they’re bereaved ffs!
The widowers could be obliged to hire a slapper (as opposed to a respectable married woman) in order to get their Tax rebate … and the slapper would at the same time have an income from which to pay her Slapper Tax.
15 July, 2007 at 2:16 pm #277495Yes, widows would be exempt. I’m not hitting the innocents, Ruby.
I’ve come up with a plan that would discourage people from going out and getting pregnant by sleeping around, which puts a strain on our economy.
Not only that, the plan would reward married couples, a proper family unit!
15 July, 2007 at 6:44 pm #277496Tommy you are an idiot end of story
